Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The rooftop breakfast was nice and ceiling shower in the bathroom was nice touch. Was disappointed that the bed clothes didn't get changed, new toilet paper was not added when the rolls run out, the bathroom towel mat was not changed. The room was also infested with mosquitoes which made sleeping almost impossible a couple of the nights. We were also asked for the keys to the room on two separate occasions from the reception staff on the grounds that if we wanted our room cleaned, even though the cleaning staff had keys and had cleaned our room on the previous days. I would never stay in this hotel again and would not recommend it for anyone.

Great location, large rooms, housekeeping could be better, scratchy sheets, AC and wifi is sporadic. Breakfast on the rooftop was nice but food quality was poor.

okay to stay. Crowded surroundings
Hotel is an old establishment. Parking is difficult. No drive in access to the hotel.
Courteous staff and refreshing set up for breakfast on the roof top. Can't justify any comparison to four star hotels in the city. can't give more than a 2 star rating.
Certainly, the staff do try their best in offering their services. That is the most comforting part of the stay.
The staff were very helpful. Great location to explore fort kochi on foot . Very quiet and peaceful area . Good restaurants in the area.
We really enjoyed Fusion Bay. Food in hotel good.
I loved this place, we arrived late and the staff still put together a small meal plate even though it was 11 pm for us as we had been travelling all day with no dinner. The hotel location is great and so beautiful inside as well as a real bargin!
Charming boutique hotel in the heart of Fort Kochi
This was our first trip to India and we are so glad we stayed at Arches Hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is right in the center of Fort Kochi area and within minutes walk to the Chinese fishing nets and beach area. There are many small eateries surrounding the hotel as well as shops selling clothing, handicrafts, spices and books. There are a few foreign exchange centers also with good rates.
The hotel itself is very clean and the room is very comfortable. Hot showers and cold AC makes a big difference when you are coming back sweaty and hot from walking around town. The breakfast is delicious and you can order eggs or enjoy the daily dosa or appam breakfast with fruits, cereals and bread among the selection.
If you need help getting some things like medicine or fruits, the staff will go out of their way to help you get it. Also they can arrange tours and taxis to airports.
Hotel Arches is a small, but beautiful, boutique hotel with a great location for walking tours of Fort Cochin, massages, cooking classes, and Kathakali performances. Our visit was during low season, so it seemed quiet and peaceful for a comfortable stay.
small hotel but comfortable the food on the roof top restaurant pretty pathetic mainly catering for European taste breakfast was ok as long as you order any thing special the day before front desk very helpful enjoyed our stay lots of shops around good spot overall for price better food around the area and lots of mosquitos
Middle of fort area, old but nice hotel. Standard indian Hiram bathroom. Good hot water. Good is ok, not great. Staff mostly friendly, especially management. Nice rooftop breakfast.
Very pleasant hotel with large rooms, friendly staff and good facilities. We were upgraded to the hotel suite which was a large, well-appointed very comfortable room. The hotel is very well located near to the historic area of the Chinese fish nets and walking distance to restaurants, bars, craft and art shops etc. Staff were helpful and friendly. Indian style breakfast on the top floor was very good.
Very good location for sightseeing. Very friendly service both at the reception-being welcomed by garland was a first- as well as Rooom Service and the Restaurant. Good breakfast choice, which was included in price. Good alcarte menu too. On the whole a very good value for money. Definitely will recommend.
Lovely hotel with great food. Very aesthetic. I will definitely come back and stay for a longer period. Great location less than 5 minutes walking distance from Fort Cochin the nerve centre of all happenings.
Booked a room last minute, was surprised at the hotel. It was decorated nicely, the staff were all very kind (except for the server during breakfast; he was a little cold.) There was a huge thunderstorm and the power went out all over the neighborhood but it came back on after a few seconds at the hotel; I'm guessing they have a generator. All in all, I'd definitely stay there again.
Lovely hotel with European standard cleanliness. We had a delux double room. The bed was very comfortable and nearer a Superking in size. The Wifi worked very well in the room. And the continental breakfast in the rooftop restaurant was also very good. The staff were very helpful and organised trips and taxis. It might be worth knowing the taxi to the airport booked thru the hotel was cheaper than the advertised fare around town.
This was worth every penny we spent. The staff welcomed us very well.....the housekeeping staff, the counter manager everyone was very polite and helpful. The breakfast was just awesome with choices of Indian,English and Continental breakfast. We did not enjoy the dinner though.Lunch was always outside the hotel.
The hotel is closeby to few attractions like chinese fishing nets,st.francis church, santacruz basilica etc. Shopping options are in the vicinity. Eating out options are also closeby.I would recommend this hotel to others
Hotel is located very nicely near the beach & other tourist attractions like Chinese fishing nets, Churches & Synagogues. Reception staff was very courteous & friendly. Room service was also satisfactory.
Friendly staff, good budget accommodation. views from breakfast on the terrace were not spectacular and the clanking of cutlery (by other guests) woke us up at 6am!
I visited Kochin with some friends and we stayed at Hotel Arches for 3 days. The location of the hotel is very central on the old peninsula and all major sights are within walking distance. The hotel itself is a very clean place (which is not standard in all indian hotels), and both rooms as well as the public facilities such as Lobby and both restaurants were clean and properly maintained. Complementary WiFi as well as the lovely rooftop restaurant are particular highlights of this hotel, definitely a strong recommendation.
Service level is good. restraunt offer good taste food. But tour arrengement was very poor . I asked sunst curse personaly. And pay 2,500Rs . But sunseet cruse was common ture base.
The hotel staff was more then helpful and friendly. The room was large and A/C worked perfectly. The roof top patio was a wonderful place to enjoy breakfast, for the food, the view and the cool morning breeze. Hotel Arches is in a great location for seeing the sites of Fort Kochi, the spice shop next door had friendly staff as well. The town is quite compared to other cities I have visited in India even hill stations. we took in a Kathakali performance and short half day backwater boat tour all arranged by the hotel staff. It was an awesome stay.

Good situation, not clean enough, poor breakfas
The hotel and the rooms are nice. The personal is friendly. But the floor of our room was dirty, full of dust and hair from other people. The breakfast selection was poor.
PROPRETE IRREPROCHABLE. RESTAURANT ON ROOF TRES BON ET PAS CHER. AIR CONDITIONNE TRES BIEN REGLE. JE LE RECOMMANDE EN PRIORITE. LIEU STRATEGIQUE ET RUE CALME PROCHE DE TOUT.
