Dirty room and pool

Posted Jul 23, 2016
Pros: Entrance
Cons: Lots to improve. Cleanliness is number one. Beds should have the bed skirts on correctly, not all twisted and half on-half off. pool should be clean.
Location: Good location. Boats were very noisy at night.
Beds were made haphazardly. Pubic hair on bathroom floor. Windows to look at view were filthy and lots of bugs and nests between panes. Pool was dirty. Not what I expected. Unlikely to stay there again.

A beautiful location but the hotel is not what it used to be. The Red Lion Inns that we stayed at are not kept up as they should be.

Wonderful place

Nice play to stay. Rooms overlook the Spokane river. During the summer there is entertainment by the river. Room is spacious and clean.

This was an older motel, that was over priced.I would not return to it. Carpets and furniture needed cleaning.

Disappointing

Posted Jul 17, 2016
Pros: not much
Cons: Everything
I looked forward to staying at Red Lion Templin's Hotel on the River and was disappointed to find a run down hotel and rooms that look like they were last cleaned back in the 80's. The room smelled of cleaner and the carpets were grimy. It's the sort of room that you always wear socks and only touch the sheets. It's a old worn out hotel with a nice view. Staff was fair at best.

Terrible experience

Posted Jul 14, 2016
In 56 years of my life I have NEVER paid for a room and not stayed in that room, until now. First 2 rooms they put us in were not clean. Pool has so much chlorine your eyes still burn the next day. Food is beyond terrible, eat at Willie's BBQ instead. The headboard had not been dusted in who knows how long. The family of 5 above us would not be quiet, I informed the front desk 6 times, only to be told that they will deal with it. I was told that their hotel is a family location and it was not quiet hours yet. They did NOT deal with it, and we left. I am so thankful we were able to get a quiet nights rest someplace else.

Nice location, right along the river.

Room had patio but it opened to an open lawn where any person could be. Bathroom had jetted tub and it was fantastic. Mainly clean but needed an update. Carpet was stained but clean.

Very smokey smelling and a giant spider to greet

Posted Jul 12, 2016
Pros: Not much but the view looked like it would have been amazing from the other side of the hotel if you were able to get one of those rooms.
Cons: Automatic non smoking rooms when booking with kids. Clean rooms, no spiders. Bring the mattress if you say you are going to. Clean up the cigarette
Location: Coeur d'Alene is beautiful!
On expedia it says that you can get a cot for our 3rd child but they didn't have any and offered us an air mattress but never brought us one and when we got back it was too late to call again and wait for one and set it up so we had to cram 3 in a bed. The room was very smokey smelling even though I booked saying I had 3 kids with me. A giant spider greeted us when we got there on the pillow, super popular with 2 young girls in the room, yikes! I asked for a view but only got the parking lot and the front desk girl acted like she couldn't care less. It took a long time to book in as only one girl at desk dealing with a complaint, after a 15 min wait another girl came out to help looking annoyed that she had to help out.
