Another tired motel

Not really a motel for families or older people.
It's another motel that looks like it was built in the 80's and hasn't progressed much since.
What used to be a reasonably sized double room has now lost 20% of it's size to an en suite and has had a single bed thrown in as well meaning the rooms are tiny and cramped.
The parking bays are narrow and not enough space is available for older people to enter / exit vehicles.
Although all rooms are non-smoking, this means that the moment you leave the room you are assaulted by the clouds of smoke outside, which frequently waft inside through the open bathroom windows.
The tiles in the shower are dated, poorly laid and care should be taken to avoid injury. Also there is no extraction fan in the bathroom leading to the window's need to be left open.
The motel doesn't have ducted air but relies on ancient thru-the-wall systems placed next to the headboards of the beds making it impossible to sleep and have a cool room at the same time.
The TV channels might technically be there, but the quality of the signal and the TV means that, at best, you see a grainy image. There is no epg available so it's anyone's guess what you will see.
On the plus side, the room included a small bar-fridge, a clock, a kettle and a toaster.
It's main market seems to be tradies transiting through Coffs Harbour, so if you don't mind, smoking and late night boozy language, it represents a good value option.
