Perfect stay at Vera Hotel!
Loved my stay at this centrally located hotel! We were walkable distance from all points of interest, including the canals. Knowlegable front desk staff helped with the purchase of tickets for the gondola ride and salt mine visit. The room was bright, cozy with a small fridge and roomy closet. The outdoor patio was a lovely surprise and made for a perfect place for a glass of port after a day of sight-seeing. Wonderful buffet style breakfast included making this an exceptional choice when visiting Aveiro.

Positives: Close to train station- 5min walk. 10min walk to city. Lovely decorated rooms and corridors. Clean and crisp linen. Good amenities. Air con in rooms. Minibar fridge was useful. Sitting area in the lobby with TV. Friendly staff from housekeeping to reception. Negatives: Broken paths out on the street. No views from the room (well onto ruins of neighbours house).

Great small hotel uptown but walkable to the canals and tourist area. Incredibly helpful staff and spotlessly clean. Good value and nice breakfast - parking a little challenging given nearby construction but spots on the street are only 2 euros for all day. Would definitely recommend this to other travellers!

Very close to the railway station and when we arrived from Porto at 1pm the room was ready. The staff are all lovely. Breakfast is great value and we ended up having it both mornings (we didn’t need to eat again until the evening!) Have to give a shoutout to the fantastic self-service 7 days a week launderette immediately across the road:€5 for wash and tumble dry including the washing powder and fabric conditioner which are included as standard!

April 17, 2023 travel. We followed google maps here and realized how narrow the streets (compared to rural Idaho) were and kinda congested. I walked in to find a pleasant/joyful receptionist. She checked us (family of 3) with perfect instructions. The garage was small but adequate for our hatchback. It appeared to have @ 7 stalls, you may want to call. Our room had 2 regular size twins together (size of a king bed), and 1 small twin bed for our daughter. We had a small 20" tv with more english speaking shows than in Lisbon. The bathroom was large and clean. Our refrigerator was on but not cold (no switches) so we asked for an ice bucket to store our 4 small water bottles and placed in the frig. We purchased 3 gondola boat ride for $11 ea. ($13 at the canal docks). We walked 15-20 minutes to the "Red" umbrella table. When we walked through the alley from the hotel, we were surprised when we came out to the main street. All the way down to the canal was store fronts and places to eat. Our overall experience was "Great," comfortable and quiet.

I didn't come with a car, so I can't speak of parking. The train/bus station is within easy walking distance, as is almost everything you'll want to see. Amazing staff! Friendly and helpful. Being in the city center, it's amazingly quiet! The room was great, comfortable beds. I can't say enough about this place. I'll definitely be returning here if I get back to Aveiro!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything we needed to visit or access was within walking distance. Aveiro is a lovely place to go to see and make sure you include a trip to Praia da Costa Nova.

We thought the hotel was comfortable and the staff very helpful. It was quiet until a rooster in a neighboring property started at 4:30 AM. Then again at 7:30 and it was impossible to sleep. The hotel can't do much about this - take your pick - quiet courtyard until the rooster crows or noisier street side but without rooster! The room had everything you need and the walk to downtown was 15 minutes away.

We spent one night at the Venezia hotel in Aveiro and had a nice time. The hotel is a good walk from the center of town but we enjoy walking so it was fine. The breakfast was 9 euros a person which was fine and we ate outside on the terrace. They have great covid restrictions in place as well you have to make reservations for breakfast.
