Terrible Experience

Location: I booked this hotel because it was close to the UMD campus, but there are many other hotels that are also close.
Lights were broken, bad TV reception and picture, and the carpet smelled like stall beer. The A/C opened out to the closed in hall so the carpet was wet and squished when you walked on it. And the hall was over 90 degrees since that's where the hot came out. Never again.

Pros: staff very attentive
Cons: check working condition of appliances, etc.
Location: so much to do around D.C., this location puts you within quick access anywhere
refrigerator didn't work, coffee maker broken; everything else was great

Disgusting and run by no one

Cons: Nearly everything, but especially customer service and cleanliness.
The pool and hot tub were closed. There were roof leaks all over the hotel (had been raining). The table in my room was completely covered with roof leak water. The vent in the bathroom didn't work and the tub didn't drain well. Only 1 of 4 cardio pieces of equipment in the "gym" actually worked, and the AC was broken so it was hotter than hell in there. The best part is that every time I tried to find a staff member to talk to about anything there was never anyone around. There were a few men who looked like they worked there with name tags on that lounged on the couches by the pool and played on their phones every single time I saw them (4 or 5) but never bothered to ask why I was waiting at the front desk with no staff. Also, many guests were clearly living there in a permanent way. The shuttle looked like it had been involved in a few accidents and the passenger door could only be opened by the outside. Worse than all this though, the hotel was dirty. The carpets and walls were grimy and even black in some places, but at least my sheets and towels were clean. I hoped to tell someone about my stay when I checked out and there was actually a person there, but no one bothered to ask or even say something like "I hoped you enjoyed your stay.' I got the very distinct impression no one would have cared anyway. Please don't stay here, you'll regret it.
