Very nice hotel in Silver Spring, MD

The room was spacious, clean, modern. The beds were new and extremely comfortable. The only strange thing was the "Starbucks" like coffee and drink bar that was always closed when we wanted to use it. Love the idea of having this amenity but only if it is open the majority of the time so it can be used.

Very comfortable; a bit noisy

One night family stay for UMD commencement. The bed and pillows (feather) were exceptionally comfortable. We had a ground floor room that fronted Cherry Hill Road. Traffic noise was a bit loud early in the morning.

Slightly underwhelming

Booked this hotel accidentally. Wanted downtown Silver Spring. Lobby nice but room fell short compared to other Courtyard properties. Balcony was a nice bonus though

Nice hotel with a few preference issues

Hotel staff was very nice. The only things I can complain about are the room setup was off. The tv was to the right of the bed layout, instead of right in front of the bed. Not a huge deal but obviously it would make more sense directly in front. The pool/hot tub closes at 9 Sunday to Friday and 10 on Saturday. This was inconvenient because we didn't get in Friday until 845. They have a lifeguard which I get, that's why they close. But still don't see a need for one. Parents should be watching their kids.

I still like Marriott Courtyard

Stay was 2 nights for a funeral. While the front desk and staff were very professional and courteous, there was difficulty with check in due to inconsistent info relayed by hotels.com to the hotel. I reserved 2 rooms for 2 nights and had a confirmation for that. However, the front desk only had one room reserved. It took longer than necessary to check in but the attendant was very kind and apologized. I am a Marriott traveler by choice and will remain so.
