Room was very clean

Posted Jul 19, 2016
Pros: Met my expectations
I had only moderate expectations, I was pleased with the cleanliness of my room. It's a very convenient location relative to UMCP and overall, for this area, a good value.

Close to Metro, but old & outdated

Posted Jul 9, 2016
Pros: Clean room, daily housekeeping, pool, close to Metro
Cons: The staff should be friendlier, fix the hole in the carpet, cover that ugly pipe
Location: About a 5 minute drive to the Metro and the University of Maryland. About a 20-25 minute Metro ride into Washington DC.
We stayed 6 nights in room 517 inside the main hotel (there are also motel-type rooms behind the hotel). There is plenty of free parking behind the hotel. We were checked in by a young gentleman wearing an untucked, stained (or dirty?) white dress-shirt. He didn’t smile and really seemed annoyed to be helping us. Our room was very outdated. There was a hole in the rug under the table, the sliding door was loose and hard to open, and there was a large, ugly pipe running across the room. We could hear a lot of noise coming from other rooms or outside. On a brighter side, the room was clean and the bed comfortable. We received housekeeping service each day. The one day I forgot to remove the privacy sign from the door, I asked the front desk for fresh towels. The woman appeared to be chatting on her cell phone, and while she said she would have some sent down, she never did. Again, no smile or interest in helping me. There is an outdoor pool. The water was a perfect temperature, and there was a lifeguard on duty. A complimentary breakfast with very limited options is served from 6:30 to 9:30 each morning. The hotel is located about a 5-minute drive to the Metro, and from there is about a 20-minute ride into the city. There is plenty of parking and lots of delivery options in the area, as well as dining out options. While I would stay in College Park again on a trip to the DC area, I would not stay in this hotel.

Needs parking lot security. Too much noise from inconsiderate guests or people using parking lot as a hang out

Pros: none
Cons: just about every thing, rooms need to be refresh - remodeled
Location: noises, right next to main road, sliding door did not close all the wall
i'm glad it was only for 12 hours, i will not stay there again

Excellent value

Clean, comfortable room conveniently located about a mile south of the Beltway and a few miles north of U.Md. Good breakfast included. Wifi a bit slow and dropped out at one point with no explanation available. Refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer all included, all for an excellent price.
