Pros: Nice room, nice staff
Cons: All elevators working
Location: Good location, lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance
One elevator broken during my stay, it made using the elevators a hassle since the hotel was full. My room was very nice and the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. I didn't use any amenities so I can only comment on my room and the front desk experience.

Pleasant

I normally stay at a different hotel in Silver Spring but wanted to be closer to my daughter who lives there. Location is good - 5 minute walk to the metro and many shops and restaurants on Ellsworth St. Bonus is there is a Starbucks in the lobby! Huge lobby with lots of space to hang out, a lively bar and a restaurant (which I didn't try). The room was clean but just a little drab. The price was right so I'd stay there again.

Sheraton Silver Spring - Poor service

Posted May 13, 2017
Pros: nothing
Cons: front desk service. Fix the door at bottom of steps into garage
Room and location were OK. Front desk was under staffed. Minimum wait was 20 min; had to wait 40 min on Sunday morning. Manager was there but did not bother to assist people standing in line. TV control in room did not work. Took it down to front desk to get new batteries and said I would wait there to get it back. Front desk person forgot about me and I had to remind him after waiting for 20 min. Door exiting to garage was broken - could not open - safety hazard. Parking garage was expensive, very tight (scraped my car), and could not get my room key to work the exit gate

Good hotel, nothing great but not bad either

Posted May 9, 2017
Pros: Food, staff, clean rooms.
Cons: no swimming pool, no hot tub. Slow shower. No microwave and fridge in the room.
We had a two nights stay and we were not given the room (with two full beds) we preferred in spite of mentioning that in the itinerary.. We were given a king bed and a sofa bed instead. What a let down but thankfully the staff offered to accommodate and promised the preferred room the next day since we were travelling with a kid and an older member of the family. Anyway we decided to be in the same room. So be prepared for surprise changes in the itinerary. Over all the stay was good. The room was clean and the staff kept it clean all the time. Food was good too. They served it hot. Overall a good stay with no other amenities.

I stayed with my family for 2 nights. The bathroom was clogged. One of the maintenance's member unclogged right away. Then I needed it shower caps for my daughter and I. I personally went to the front desk to ask for them and they were very nice and told me that I will get them whiting 10 mins. I never got the shower caps.

I was not satisfied with evey aspect beginning the front desk to the room service in general. for example they were saying there is Valet parking service but they don't even explain you how to park your car by yourself.

Excellent Hotel to stay

Posted Mar 28, 2017 on Hotels
I stayed at Sheraton hotel as part of my visit to Washington DC. The hotel was really good and my family enjoyed the stay. The staff at front desk (Abu) were very humble and helping. The shuttle was very helpful for us to get the drop to the metro station which was less than 3 miles (which is the shuttle's allowed distance) from the hotel. I got wifi at the room as a complimentary benefit since this is my first stay. Otherwise, it would be $10 and more. The only thing which was not clear was complimentary breakfast which came with the package of stay. Though we were 2 adults and 2 kids, but i had to pay for 1 kid which was bit vague.

Good location

The hotel staff was amazing. During our check in hotels.com didn't book our 2 rooms correctly and Anthony, the night manager, was very helpful greeting it fixed. Great location walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Parking is $14 per day.
