Not bad for the price

Posted Aug 31, 2015
Pros: Quiet
Cons: Rooms could use a little sprucing up. Would have liked to take a bath but no drain plug.
Location: Had to drive a bit to get to food and where I was showing but within 5-10 minutes of most.
Room as clean enough and had a mini-fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Did have one fairly large bug crawling around the bathroom but that was quickly disposed of. Very quiet all weekend. Bed was a little soft but was too tired to care. Would probably stay here again.

Not well at all!

Posted Aug 29, 2015
When we got there it was extremely hot in the room for over an hour while we cooled it down. The beds were like rocks, tub was stained or rusted. Only stayed 1 night of the 2 we paid for. Had emergency at home, no refund was offered when we told them we were leaving.

Cons: EVERYTHING! Needs to be updated, cleaned, competently staffed, and so on.......
Location: I think were next to a furniture store. Other than that, there was NOTHING in walking distance.
We were out of town for a funeral. We weren't necessarily looking for this hotel to be like the 5 star hotel we previously stayed in, but we were expecting certain basic things to be met. Our room was NOT clean. There was food left in the refrigerator, stains on the top blanket, dingy sheets, dusty bathroom floors, and a roll of toilet tissue that looked like it had been placed on the roll a year ago. When I contacted Expedia to express my disappointment, they said the only thing they could do was give us a small coupon for our NEXT Expedia hotel booking (if that ever happens). We were then told we would have to contact the front desk at the hotel to see if they could rectify the problem. The problem with that was that we arrived late Friday night after the manager had gone off duty. So, the clerk at the desk couldn't even supply us with another room (even though I doubt that would have been any better). I believe that Expedia should have located another hotel for us, or either reimbursed us at least the equivalent of one of the days out of the two that we paid for. But Expedia was not helpful AT ALL. I was consistently put on hold for long periods of time, only to be told there was nothing they could do!

Clean Rooms

Posted Aug 22, 2015
We went to college station to visit some friends and needed a hotel. So we choose Hojo and did not get disappointed. Room was very comfy and with AC perfectly temperated for the hot climate in Texas.

Nice for the price

Posted Aug 11, 2015
Pros: Price
Cons: door was difficult to open and close - probably due to the age of the facility
Location: Great Mexican restaurant right next door; with delicious food.
Looked for an economical hotel/motel and this one fit the bill. Not the ritz; but I wasn't looking for the ritz. Staff were pleasant. Room was clean and acceptable.

repairs badly needed

Posted Aug 7, 2015
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything ! old is one thing but dirty and not working at all is unacceptable at any level
Location: The location would have been perfect for the conference I was to attend. Everything I needed was close by.
The lights in the sink area did not work, the lights in the room were very dull more like night lights even when all of them were on, the sink drain did not close, the refrigerator had mold on the door and food spilled inside, the sheets were so thread bare I could see the coverlet through them, the bathroom pipes from the room behind me banged when the toilet flushed, the air conditioning was on full blast but felt warm, all voices outside could be heard clearly inside, there as a strong odor that resembled dirty tennis shoes in the whole room.

Stinky pool

Posted Aug 4, 2015
Overpriced. Dirty grounds. Piles of dirty towels left out all day in random places. Dumpster right next to dirty pool.

Older motel, but clean

Posted Aug 1, 2015
Room was clean, but the A/C was not working properly, didn't really get cool until middle of the night. Beds were comfy and clean. Bathroom was small and no vent or a/c in there. Just an older motel. Alarm clock not working. Had small frig and microwave. Felt it was overpriced for the room, but all I could find.

Just ok

Just ok. The hotel needs updating. Lights were out and everything was very old. I would have left if the price was higher.
