Not just another chain

Stayed for graduation weekend, and was happy about the choice. Best price around for that weekend, but not just at any old motel. The place was clean and quiet, and the bed was possibly the best thing ever. Good thing for a much needed rest at the end of the day.

The complimentary glass of estate wine and cheese was most welcome after a long journey. The friendly staff put us right at ease. The grounds are meditative and the wine making operation and tour quite slick. Well done.

A peaceful getaway!

The tour guide of the winery was very knowledgeable and passionate about the wine making process. He had some unique techniques that he freely shared to enhance the wine tasting experience. We were hosted by a very personable young A&M senior during the Tour de Wines and learned even more about the variety of wines and their unique tastes. The Villa was intriguing and the breakfast wonderful. Thank you to all who made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable.

Will definitely return

We arrived at the Villa and an envelope was waiting for us with information, room key and gratuities. Part of the experience was a tour of the winery which took just under an hour and ended with a sampling of four very different wines. Also, each day you have a coupon for a wine and cheese event at 5:00 where you can choose a glass of any of the wines produced there with a plate of cheese and biscuits. Our room was spacious and furnished as advertised. Each night chocolates were placed on a plate in our room. The breakfast each morning was fantastic with complementary champagne or mimosas. The grounds were lovely and give you an opportunity for a stroll among the vineyard and around the small lake. The Vintage House restaurant on the grounds was exceptional with an adventurous menu and reasonably priced wines.
