Layout not ideal

Posted Jun 28, 2016
One night stay for my wife, young son and me. My son slept on pullout in living room. He enjoyed that. We slept in bed room where mattress was low quality so not very comfortable. Kitchen was right size, we were able to cook eggs for breakfast. Bathroom was good size. AC was cold, had ceiling fans in living and bed room. On a whole the suite was fine, fit our needs even tho small and bed not comfy and room layout had bed against window to outside hallway, leading to noise from people passing by and talking. The biggest drawback for this place is the layout of the hotel. There is no clear sign telling you where to park and go in to check in. One you figure out there is one door at front, facing the street, you have to park a ways away to go check in and take in your bags. Once inside all rooms face an open court yard. So hallways are outside and all noise echoes. As mentioned before, the biggest problem is having the bedroom share a wall with the exterior walkway so you are disturbed by people passing by and even those playing in the pool. I wouldn't stay here again. I would stick to suite hotels with interior hallway.

Quick trip

This was a very quaint hotel. Was right next to the college and had a lot of stores by it. The rooms were like mini apartments and fit 3 people comfortably. Would definitely stay here agian.

Not fair price

Posted Mar 6, 2016 on Hotels
The hotel is fine. However, my rate was 149$+tax, this is not a fair price for this hotel in College Station. The breakfast place is very small. Asked for a late check out after a 3 days stay and gave me only until 1230pm and the hotel was not full booked. Staff was friendly.

It Could Have Been Fabulous

Posted Feb 24, 2016 on CheapTickets
Pros: The room was lovely and the bed was comfortable.
Cons: Staff on the property to correct problems.
Location: My children attend TAMU, so we went to the mall and basically spent time with them.
The room was beautiful, but when a dog with a deep bark started barking next door at 3am, I found out that they have no staff who are on the property after hours in case of a problem. I was wandering around the courtyard in the middle of the night when I discovered this. The phone number I had for the hotel was answered by a lady who basically said that she was not on the property and it wasn't her problem. When I checked out the next morning, the lady told me that they allow small dogs that are outside and chained to the fence in front of the door. This wasn't a small dog. One of their guests sneaked in a large dog and then didn't keep them quiet. The fact that they don't have staff after hours on the property in case of problems makes what would have a superior rating a much lower one. I was exhausted the next day after being awakened in the middle of the night.
