This hotel was mediocre and we could have had a nicer hotel with cheaper rates. I think it was overpriced for the facility condition of this hotel. The hotel room was terrible, with old carpet, mold around bath area. Also, the breakfast choice was very poor. The lady at the breakfast area was rude with no attention to customer service at all. We won't stay here ever again.

Loved the complimentary bottle of wine at checkin, the social hour charcuterie board and wine, the shady courtyard and pool area, and the welcoming hospitality of the staff. The property is definitely showing its age, however, and could use updated carpets and bathrooms at a minimum.

Good staff and wine to start during happy hour. It was a two room property with kitchen and very good for a family The property is old and be ready for the antique experience including smell.

Staff was nice. Room was not clean, there were dog prints on the sofa. All floor areas were like it had never been mopped or swept even cobwebs in corners. Area for pets was right by the main road with no fencing or restraints to keep other dogs or people away.

The facility has a lot of potential and charm. However, the room was incredibly dirty. Dust on the furniture, dust in the air vents and tons of dust/hair on the baseboards. The whole place just felt dirty and gross.

It was charming! The staff was welcoming, it was clean and we were cozy. We didn't stay long only one night, but it was so much better than the traditional 1 room hotel. This was like renting an apartment. Could use a few updates here and there. We loved it and would stay again.

The deposit policy is outrageous. I couldnt sleep well cause my upstairs neighbor made noises all night long. Then there's no one to help out in afterhours. Not booking here again.

Assuming there are no damages or smoking, the deposit is returned to the guest. Our staff is also always available for any type of guest assistance after hours when needed. Best wishes.

Very accommodating for guests with pets. Since there is no elevator, having the front staircase unavailable for safety reasons is a real hardship for guests who have rooms close to the lobby but have to use the back stairs to access their rooms. Hope they get this situation corrected soon.

The property was older but well maintained. The inner pool area and outdoor amenities were very nice. The kitchen was a nice surprise to have. We would definitely stay there again when in the area

This property is outdated. During our stay the water was turned off when in the shower with no communication and was off for 30 min. Beds were old, sagged the the middle and slanted at the end to the floor. There was mold in the shower and water leaking in the fridge. On of our guests woke up with a bug bite. The area around the property did not appeare safe and had heavy police patrol. I would not recommend this property.

Was a cute little place. Unfortunately, one set of stairs were broken & not able to use. Had to carry our backs all the way to the back, go up the stairs & then walk back to front of building to our room. There didn’t seem to be a lot of people there & first floor rooms were empty (we could see thru windows). Would have been nice to be on first floor.

“DesignerSuites” is stretching the truth a little. This is an old property that has only made it half way to “designer”. The room was very clean and beds were comfortable but additional heat is via space heaters. Light bulb in my bedroom was out and I had to stand on the bed to turn the fan down. (I’m a senior citizen). So overall the cleanliness and staff were both excellent but the property itself is in need of a good upgrade.

Not good. My wife had to wait over 30 mins for someone to show up to give her the room keys. Once in the room heater didn’t work and a small portable also non working heater was left. It was 30° in the room. She couldn't shower because it was too cold.

DISAPPOINTED AND DECEIVED
This hotel is a motel. It was rated excellent but was anything but. They stated there was late check in but no one was present when we arrived at 10:30 pm. We had to call a number to be directed to our key under a pot in the front entry. The furniture is falling apart. There was no heat and it was cold. We had to use a space heater found in the closet. VERY disappointed in every aspect. The pictures are very deceptive. It looks like a place from the 50’s.

The pictures were kind of misleading, looks a lot older in person, staff was very friendly, but most of our breakfast options provided by the hotel were SPOILED or stale. The couch was pretty dirty and the bed felt hard but hey the price and location are very convenient so i would come back if needed, its a place to sleep you know? But dont expect much from the rooms themselves. Again, staff was so kind and helpful!

This is a delightfully unique hotel. Our room was a double king suite which included a kitchen (full size stove, refrigerator, and microwave). The courtyard was very quiet and cozy. Although our suite was a little dated, it was clean and had ample towels and toiletries. All 3 rooms had TVs (pleasant surprise) but they were small compared to other places we’ve stayed recently. WiFi was good and complimentary breakfast was much like other hotels offering free breakfast. We brought our 2 dogs and there was a large field outside the courtyard that provided ample room for them to stretch their legs.

I read the reviews about this place being "clean" and thought we could give it a try. We're in town for my puppy's surgery, and they were amazing when checking in. Helped us get a first-floor room. We drove 7 hours and were exhausted when we walked in. Went to grab food and then came back to really check out the room. There is mold growing in all the vents, stains on the bed, the sheets were gritty and dirty, the mattress protector looked like it had never been cleaned, nor changed! It was torn apart all over the place, and there was just hair and dirt and grime everywhere you looked. The AC didn't work at all. The sofa bed was stained yellow and had crumbs, hair, and other unknown substances all over it, so I refused to let my daughter sleep on it. I brought it up to the front after dropping my puppy off for her surgery, and they still charged us for another day. Not once did someone come to clean the room while we were out today. Honestly, I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to stay here. The first woman we dealt with last night was a sweetheart. The woman we had contact with today was rude and dismissive. I had even shown her the pictures. I'm so disappointed because this place had really decent reviews! Please clean your rooms, guys. This was gross and added so much stress to an already stressful trip. 😞

Not as it seemed
The place is old. It smells like cleaning supplies and I'm glad that they clean the rooms but it was overwhelming. The bed was old and cheap and very lumpy and the couch had a sliding you could feel when you sat on it. There was a thermostat for c the a/c but we didn't have control over the heat, that was automatically done by the hotel based on the outside temp and wasn't really formed on until it got to 45° outside. They did provide a small space heater but it was old and had tape on it to hold it together. There was 100% humidity outside and without real control over our inside temp I didn't the whole time there either freezing or sweating and uncomfortable. There was no elevator, which on its own not a big deal but we were on the 2nd floor and it trained most of our stay and the stairs were on the outside so we got wet everytime we went up or down the stairs.

It was our first time staying in College Station area, and the hotel ended up being very convenient for us since we were taking shuttle to Santa’s Wonderland from nearby mall. Since our arrival the young lady at front desk was very pleasant to talk to, and we were even given a complimentary wine bottle due to our reservation status. The suite we stayed in was perfect for the two of us, and we had no issues with anything pertaining to our room. Would definitely stay there again.
