Light in the rooms not bright. No TV guide. Could not find CBS and did not know where to look. Missed Blue Bloods. Comfortable beds. Lighting in parking area not good at all. Biscuits were hard. Gravy did not soften them up. Good coffee nice temperature. Limited sweet roll selection. No cherry or peach or berry or anything good. Maybe try some Krispy Kream donuts. Dirty halls. Elevator VERY slow. Time for service?? Close door button would not light up.Best used for snails. Wet floor outside pool door. Sink water pressure not strong. Price changed on the room three times.. Too expensive for what you get.

The staff was very pleasant and friendly. We had a handicapped accessible room, and the first time the bathroom was used, the accessible bar came off the wall. The staff immediately came and fixed it though, and were very pleasant. Sean was lovely. There was also a patched hole in the floor of the shower, but we were pleased that the handicapped accessible shower didn’t flood the room. In general, the building is just old and kind of run down. It smells like it used to be a smoking hotel. Plenty for breakfast. I think the staff is doing their best with what they have to work with.

The shower drain was clogged which we did not know until we got up the next morning to try to take showers. Because we were there on a holiday weekend, there was no maintenance available. We had to move to an alternate room. In that second room, the beds were very tall. I am a short person and had a very difficult time getting into the bed. In room 307, the beds should be shortened. The staff reacted quickly to move us to another room.

The hotel is in poor condition. The room smelled like old, musty smoke. The bathtub had a rusty hole with sharp edges and the tiles by the tub faucet were cracked and caved in. Something on the pool bottom scratched a boy’s foot pretty badly. The breakfast was very unpleasant with rock hard biscuits and sour gravy.

This hotel is a little older and needs aoy of touchups, paint was chipped in many places, our bathroom door was not hung correctly and was extremely hard to close. The employees ar the front desk were great, very knowledgeable and helpful.

I have always stayed at Comfort Inns in Wisconsin and enjoyed my time there. I had to book a hotel for two weeks in Alton, so naturally I chose Comfort Inn. After my second night there, I noticed bites on my neck. Every day after that I notice more bites. Saturday night I notified the front desk that I am pretty sure my room has bed bugs. Someone from the front desk came up to look at my bites and apologized. He gave me a new key for a new room. By Monday morning I had to go to the walk-in clinic and get a steroid shot because my body became allergic to the bites. The hospital I was doing my training at had to call infection control in, as a precaution to make sure nothing travelled in with me. When I was finally able to check out, the person at the front desk asked me how my stay was. I responded "itchy". She asked me why, and I had said that my room was changed a week ago due to bed bugs. She said that no one had reported that room and they have been having guests stay in that room after Saturday. To me, that is absolutely unacceptable. It's one thing that I got over 70 bites, but they didn't do ANYTHING when it was brought to their attention. I truly hope they will take bed bugs more seriously in the future.

The hotel appears to be under current renovation, which is good because "tired" is how I would describe this hotel. The lobby and breakfast area are welcoming. Breakfast is your average fair. Coffee, not so great. The hallways e.g. are in need of an update e.g. walls desperately need painting, carpet needs to be replaced, etc. Our room was clean and very comfortable however, the bathroom needs a pick-me-up; the handle in the tub needs repair (sticks and the water had been drizzling when we arrived. Not sure how long it had ran. We notified staff). Location was great. We would stay here again once renovations are completed.
