The beds were comfortable and I like the large pump containers of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower. The snow had been packed down by driving so it couldn’t be plowed in the lot.

The staff that checked us in was polite and courteous. The breakfast staff was kind and warm. The breakfast food was ok for a free fast breakfast. I liked the little omlets.

This property is probably the best choice for those attending events at the Gateway Convention Center. It is clean, safe and well maintained and the clientele seem well behaved. Unfortunately the nearby restaurants are mediocre at best. The quality of the breakfast is not as good as other comparable hotels even within the same chain. The orange juice was the high point. The eggs and sausage were barely warm and there was no oatmeal. Coffee wasn't very good. When I saw the same situation on the second day I went to Waffle House and paid for a better breakfast. Also, the pandemic is over and it's time to reinstate daily maid service, especially fresh towels and empty the wastebasket.

The hotel was just ok. It is dated and is in need of refurbishment through out. I most likely would not stay here again. On a good note. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good.

Front desk was great...the rest no so much..
We got there and the room was double booked, the pool was closed, the rooms bathroom had a musty smell that was awful we had to leave the vent running to try and get rid of it, that did not work. The lady at the front desk was very helpful with everything we brought to her attention.

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. But only had one towel and handtowel. No washcloths. Requested more. Got the towel, but no washcloths were clean. Can you imagine a hotel with no clean washcloths??

Staff was excellent! Our room had a slight odor, but we believe it was due to being right next to the pool. Oatmeal condiments were over the top-2 types of nuts, coconut flakes, 2 types of raisens-just to name a few items!

Satisfactory hotel. Stayed with my daughter for a dance convention across the street. This hotel can use some major updating. The carpet was stained and the furniture was VERY worn. The pool was not very clean. Our beds had clean sheets, the bathroom was clean and the fridge was cold. So it worked for our stay. The complimentary breakfast was a nice plus but it was not very good. The bananas were black and the eggs and sausage tasted like plastic. I have had many other stays with similar breakfasts offered that were by far better. I would not stay here again.

Great Value/exceptional staff!
The hotel was a very good value. Breakfast was fine/typical (although it sounds like they are trying to add a couple new options to breakfast-mini quiche and egg soufflés), room was ok. It looks like they may have recently renovated a bit-carpet looked fresh and new. I was fine with the comfort of the bed, but my husband, not so much. He thought the bed was low and not enough support. The room was pretty clean. I thought the bathroom could’ve had a little more attention. Hard water stains in shower, dental floss left on a ledge in shower and exhaust fan needed a good cleaning/dusted. Though I find with lots of hotels/restaurants I visit, dirty fans stick out to me. All establishments need to do better at cleaning fans/exhaust units, etc… A big shout out to all the staff we encountered! I’m sure these ladies make little money, but made the trip most enjoyable with their friendly smiles and small talk. Very pleasant gals we met at check in/out and during coffee/breakfast time!

Overall the stay was good except the breakfast. I'm not sure what the "eggs" were made out of but they were not good and I couldn't eat them. The sausage patties were ok.

Room was filthy and disgusting. Stains on furniture, carpet, bathroom, fridge. The staff clean it but it needs a true deep cleaning. Younger staff rude, older staff nice. It wasn’t worth the money at all.

Has some pros but wouldn’t stay there again
The location is excellent with a wonderfully caring person at the front desk. The hotel itself was a bit run down and seemed understaffed. The elevator was very slow and I waited at the front desk for about 20 minutes to purchase a bottle of water. My room was musty and after settling in noticed the carpet was wet in the area next to the bed. About 1/4 of the carpet was affected. It seemed as if it had been cleaned recently and not dried out yet. I went to the desk and asked for another room. The clerk mentioned they had cleaned some of the carpets recently but she didn’t know what rooms. She gave me a new room that had the same issue. I decided to just deal with it. There were many families at the hotel and kids enjoying the pool (not a problem). The floors in the hallway were wet and in the morning there were towels strewn about up and down the hallway outside the pool area, as well as slippery when wet signs. The decor in the rooms seemed outdated.

The room had a bag of trash left in it and the hall was full of trash by many of the doors. It was questionable as to whether the room was cleaned. The room was not worth the price. Very limited breakfast. I don’t think this hotel measures up to the brand.
