The woman at the front desk told me to book online so I did using Expedia, which I told her I was going to do. (I used this app to find a pet-friendly hotel.) As soon as I paid, she asked me how many people were in my party and if I had a pet. I told her the number and said that I had a cat with me. She then gave me a pet policy, which stated that there was a pet fee, to sign. When I asked how much the pet fee was, she told me it was $150, which was more than the price of the room! I told her I was no longer interested in staying here because of the ridiculous price and she said that she would cancel the room, assuring me that I would not be charged since I did not even check in. Needless to say, she lied, they charged me, and Expedia will not give me a refund because the hotel "has a strict policy".
