Very helpful staff. In a very run down area. Pretty sure the pic of the hotel is photoshopped Room was tiny and dark. Barely room for bags. No cups or jug.

Noisy - poor standard for any hotel in this day and age. No services available with poor housekeeping and disgusting bedding products. Aged bedding provided little comfort. Don’t know how this hotel is listed on Expedia.

Basic Hotel
Very basic hotel so OK for just a sleep. Sinks are too small but all clean and functional. The staff are friendly and happy to help.

I stayed 3 nights there, in the first night I had a problem, I parked beside of the hotel and I asked the receptionist if we could leave the car there and he said yes and the next day the car was picked up so take care and park it in the parking lot of the hotel that you can find in underground. Even it is paid and is very very small at least your car wouldn't be picked up.

Good but noisy
The hotel was a little dated and could do with a revamp, I didn’t sleep well as the hotel has a train line that runs right beside it, the rooms were pretty hot so I had to sleep with the window open but would then wake up every time a train went past as it would sound like it was in my room. The one saving grace was the breakfast, a really nice spread with everything on offer.

The building is in poor condition and smelly. No clean drinking water... the lemon water tasted bitter from the lemon rotting in it. The receptionists were rude and will tell you "We cant always give what you ask for what you paid for because this is not a holiday hotel". Would never think of staying here again. Do not waste your money.!

The hotel public areas were well maintained but corridors to rooms very eerie and worn down. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. Staff were brilliant but location and distances advertised on hotels.com were incorrect. Lime scooters were life savers, too far to walk to the main centre and around all day. Building sites all around the property and very little local amenities bar a Lidl. Again the bars and restaurants on hotels.com were incorrect.

The property was located in a okay area, close to the railway and also easy access to Cologne. Parking was also handy too!

When you hear Centro Ayun, run. Run as fast as you can. No air conditioning, no fans. We had to strip completely naked and leave the windows open all night. People are allowed to smoke by your window all night long and talk loudly, so you are either suffocating in second hand smoke or listening to people talk loud about who knows what. Reported to reception and she just shrugged. While I was talking to her, her colleague (employee of the hotel), went outside and stood outside my window on the ground floor and started puffing away. There is no room to put more than one suit case in the room. You can't sit on the toilet without putting one leg up the side wall. If you can, picture it. If you try to wash your face, you will get knocked out cold because there is a ceramic shelf waiting to greet your face between the tiny sink and your face. Horrible, horrible, horrible. We checked out early (4:00 am, as we could not sleep) and ran for our lives. Please stay away, as far away as you can.

Very friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Good value for money. A bit outside of the city center but theres a bus and tram stop 10 mon walking. Close the the Arena and Bootshaus Club

Hotel was reasonably priced & the location was fine as we were driving. It advertises hotel & bar but the bar has closed down. The room was very comfortable. Tea & coffee facilities would be nice.

The only good thing about this place: Radiators do work well, there is hot water and roof on your head. The rest is just well below any standards. The money they charged for my stay was just disgusting.

This hotel had wonderful breakfast and very nice staff! Had a great time for Carnival. Location was about 10min from metro, street parking for our car, but besides that, good hotel.

Upon arriving we were placed into a dingy room with walls for windows however I went and explained we were there for a week so got moved to a room higher up. The rooms were really small. Beds were uncomfortable and it was so noisy. Between the train, people in the hotel and cleaning it was impossible to get a good nights sleep. The pillows were awful. The walls and carpet were marked and didn’t feel all that clean. Our shower was broken. Staff were fair. Lobby and entrance was nice, clean and modern, reception staff very welcoming, however our room stank of smoke, was dirty and had opened water and fanta bottles left on the bedside table, along with rubbish in the bin and dirty towels in the bathroom Also of note is that the hotel is right next to the train line, so trains whizzing by in the night woke me up on several occasions Bed was comfy Checkout was at 11am, but were woken up at 8:30 by a knock on our door from Housekeeping, followed by another knock on the door 30 minutes later from Housekeeping again, so wasn't best pleased with that Good location, a Lidl 5 min walk down the road and 30 min walk into the centre

When we arrived at the hotel we wanted to get some food in the restaurant. This is when the hotel receptionist said they haven't got a restaurant any more they just haven't got round to updating the website. We then asked where to get a drink from, they aid the bar also closed down and we don't get tea or coffee in the room. We had to go find somewhere which was about a 40minute walk. The beds were really uncomfortable. The pillows/duvets were very poor quality. Overall experience was poor. I work for a holiday company and I have never left a bad review. Feel they need to update their website, description is incorrect, hotel was run down outside and bedrooms need reviewing.

The hotel is a little out of town and not really on public transport links. The room was adequate with a comfortable bed good lighting. We had a problem with a blocked toilet and unfortunately the reception staff seemed unable to grasp the seriousness of the situation. Missed breakfast because of the flood situation so can't comment.
