Closest to Colonial Williamsburg

Posted Apr 24, 2015
Pros: Lovely property - both the building and gardens. Everything is maintained beautifully and staff is most helpful.
Cons: The food is a bit heavy - but that is for a northerner's tastes. Big portions and plenty of hash-browns, etc.
Don't just go to Williamsburg for the restored colonial capital: you must visit Jamestown and Yorktown as well. So, there's no more convenient, comfortable and luxurious hotel that the Williamsburg Inn. The easiest access to the Colonial Parkway that connects all three areas and is spectacularly beautiful in the spring. The Inn offers something for everyone (golf, tennis, pool, gardens, etc.); but best of all is across the street from Colonial Williamsburg's buildings.

A fabulous week in Colonial Williamsburg

Posted Oct 27, 2013
Pros: The rooms are plush and sizeable. The bathrooms are actual rooms not closets.
Location: The historic park is a short walk across the street and the Spa is a short walk away too.
We spent 5 nights. The first night was in a room near an outside entrance and was rather noisy. We asked to be moved the next morning and were given a room upstairs that was quiet and actually had a better view. All of the views are nice though. The food at the restaurant is wonderful. The staff are all very courtesy and eager to help out in any way possible. They are all knowledgeable about the activities in the Colonial Park and can advise you of other options. The concierge helped out with tickets, directions, schedules, and spa appointments.

excellent way to celebrate our anniversary

Posted Jun 25, 2013
We stayed at the Williamsburg Inn in 1974 on our first anniversary. It was an excellent place to return to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. The accommodations, the staff, the food and the location were all outstanding.

An elegant few days at the Williamsburg Inn.

Posted Mar 24, 2013
Pros: staff
Cons: service at breakfast
Location: perfect. we spent mornings at the spa and then spent the day in the restored town and evenings sampling the many events scheduled.
My 18 year old daughter and I had a marvelous time in Williamsburg and found the Inn to be gracious, comfortable and accommodating. We found the food to be excellent although the service at breakfast was exceedingly slow on one morning. The Concierge was very helpful, the spa was pleasant, the staff terrific. We will definitely return.

Great couples retreat!

A superb Inn - spacious rooms, and a staff that went out of their way to do anything you needed. Old world service, decor, and charm. Highly recommended. Though expensive, it's worth it!

This was one of the more luxurious hotels we have staryed in. The room was much bigger than expected and the amenities were just wonderful. The food in the dining room was excellent. We had a wonderful stay. It was so close to Colonial Williamsburg - we just walked in whenever we wanted to explore.
