Great amenities

Posted Aug 30, 2017
Enjoyed our stay. Ate dinner at the restaurant one night and it was a delicious Italian buffet. There was also a Calvary ball happening that night so fun to watch everyone enter in their dress blues and ball gowns. Great views of the mountains from the main building. Some rooms may have that view, but we did not.

Love the view of the mountains and lake

The view from the main lobby is breathtaking. The facilities like swimming pools, water activities at the lakes, sports center are all amazing.

Honey moon getaway

Posted Aug 26, 2017
This was the best trip by far. Excellent view of the mountains, even staying in the ground level rooms. Room was very clean. They had different activities (Smores on the patio at night and day activities for kids) we will most definitely stay again.

Amenities highpoint, location outdated

Posted Aug 25, 2017
Cons: Decord
Location: Lots of outdoor activities available. Many attractions closed Sunday.
For a high-priced resort, we were hoping that the resort would be updated. The room screamed of 1970's! The headboards had reading lights embedded that didn't work, drywall had fallen off the wall near the sliding glass door to balcony, and décor was old and rustic (not in a good way). Towel rack in bathroom was loose and falling out of the wall. Carpet was stained in various places. On the plus side, the workout facility had a variety of equipment and was quite large. Indoor/outdoor tennis courts were appealing and easy to reserve. The pond and boats made the resort unique. This was a family, friendly resort. The staff was delightful and helpful.

Nice hotel and a great setting.

Posted Aug 23, 2017
The hotel is in a great setting. However, the room was more like an eighty dollar room. The building has some drainage issues and needs some engineering. The restaurant has great wait-staff and the food was excellent.

Nice location

Posted Aug 23, 2017
Pros: Facilities and location
Cons: Service
Location: Pretty under the mountains. We visited garden of the gods and pike's peak cog railway
Lovely setting under the Rockies. Service in the whole could have been better. Staff seemed complacent and service was not very friendly. Hotel facilities such as tennis and golf were good and the pool was nice. Rooms comfortable with good quality bedding but a bit dated. Shortage of sockets.

A bit rundown and not worth the price

Posted Aug 23, 2017
We love staying at Cheyenne Mountain Resort and usually go down about once a year. This time we came to town for my husband's high school reunion. The hotel was much more expensive than what I remember paying in the past (about $449 per night). For that price, the room was disappointing. It was a normal sized room with a below par bathroom - that seemed like any standard hotel. Similarly, the AC did not work so we were stifling all night. When we entered the room, it smelled very strongly of chlorine or pool cleaners. The pool and lake were nice but there were not enough umbrellas. We had drinks at the bar in the main building the first night (a Cosmo and a Moscow mule). Both drinks were overpriced and not well made. We also ordered room service for dinner the first night and it was just OK. We ended up spending about $1,000.00 for the weekend and were underwhelmed. We could go to the Broadmoor for that price and not have any of the downsides. Given the quality of the hotel and amenities, I would expect it to be about half of what we paid.

Beautiful Setting!

Posted Aug 19, 2017
It's a great Hotel, a little pricey. All of the rooms open from the outside, so if this bothers you don't book a room here. The A/C didn't work well in our room. The views are spectacular and the facilities are nice! The staff seemed overly helpful which was great and the food onsite was fabulous! We would stay here again!

Great family friendly resort

Posted Aug 19, 2017
This this a great resort for families. It is close to many outdoor attractions. It also offers a nice breakfast and many activities on sight. The beds are not that comfortable and the rooms need updating but are clean and spacious.
