Average but great views.

Pros: Showers. Views.
Cons: More helpful staff getting you to room (especially at night). More quite AC. Better food in restaurant.
Location: Lots to do locally. Pikes Peak, hiking, fishing, Garden of the Gods, caves, museums. Dining at the nearby Broadmoor is special.
I arrived at night. My room was in a detached building. My directions to get there lugging my luggage were poor. I should have had someone take me there.I finally had to call back to front desk to request help finding the building. Rooms are warm with no fan and loud AC unit. Hotel food was just average. Salmon under cooked. When I called for shuttle to my meeting told it was $5 each way but was not told that in advance when I called ahead to ask that question. Work out facility 10 min walk from campus but nice. Pool area plays loud overhead music. Great for Gen-x ers but not for relaxing. On a positive note. The mountain view of Pike's Peak were very good. Good showers. Rooms clean. Shuttle drivers were nice.

Beautiful resort hotel

My family and I loved this hotel!! The resort is beautiful. We stayed in a double queen room which was clean, had very comfortable beds and a large bathroom. The exercise facilities were great. We enjoyed the pool overlooking the mountain. We tried 2 of the restaurants and were very satisfied with both. There's a fire pit (BYO s'mores or enjoy their s'more bar) and a pool table. This is not a 1 building hotel: the main building (with the front desk, restaurants, pool, etc), the exercise facilities and the hotel rooms are spread out. Everything is walkable, with plenty of convenient parking if you choose to drive. We would love to return!!

Potential

Staff was wonderful Rooms do need updating , but very comfy beds Housekeeping super nice, but dishes glasses on counter from day one and never cleaned..? Our views were wonderful and nice grassy area for the dogs.

hotel vs resort

Pros: Pool , staff, view, facilities
Cons: I have stayed in much nicer rooms for less money.
Location: great location for the playing tourist in the springs.
The resort is great. Lots to do and very nice, gorgeous view. The room however was pretty plain for the how much it cost. I was expecting a much nicer room for the price.

Great Resort Experience

Pros: Clean room, great amenities, fun for everyone.
Cons: Onsite laundry room would be nice.
Location: Everything...museums, hiking, rafting, FUN!!!
Awesome location, great for the entire family. Onsite food options were good, pool...kayaking...paddle boards...and more for the kids. The place was extremely clean and well kept. Staff was wonderful and always welcoming.

Mountain retreat

What a lovely hotel. The grounds are immaculate and the setting serene. The hotel staff are efficient and happy to assist - which really completes the experience.

Nice Hotel, spa was great!

Cons: The tub/shower combo
Cheyenne Mountain Resort is a nice hotel although I expected it to be a bit nicer from what I have heard and other reviews. The massage at the spa was amazing and I would definitely visit the spa again. The only down side was the giant spa tub/shower combo. I have never stayed in a hotel that didn't have a separate shower when there was a jacuzzi tub, this hotel however makes you climb into the tub to shower. Being vertically challenged made it quite difficult for me to maneuver into the shower and makes me wonder how anybody with a disability would get into that shower...

Somewhat Unhappy

Pros: Staff friendly. And location.
Cons: Put animals and children in different building. Also smokers should be in different building.
Location: Stores, restaurants.
Children ran the halls and screamed and laughed and stomped their feet all night. At least until 2:15 am in the morning. And I had a non-smoking room. But it didn't matter. the guy above me smoked alot on the balcony and the smoke would come down in my room off and on all day. So as long as I was in my room I would just open and close my patio door off and on all day. Pretty frustrating.
