Nice mountain resort.

Posted Apr 19, 2017
Pros: The room was nice and clean. The staff saw to all my needs and I felt like a guest in their home.
Cons: My stay there could have been longer. 😀
Location: The location of the hotel puts it at the base of Pikes Peak. So, if outdoor activities are what you like, there is no shortage of things to do.
My current visit to the Cliff House in Manitou Springs was very nice. I have been to the Cliff House several times in the last few years. Every time I walk in the door I'm greeted like family. I am treated so very well. The staff is very personable and called me by name. I had some trouble with my phone this visit and the staff was quick to help me get to where I needed to get it taken care of. My room was very nice and one of the House keeping staff, Tabitha, went well out of her way to meet all my needs. I would most definitely revisit the Cliff House on my next visit to Manitou Springs. Thank you you all for a great week!

Beautiful Victorian Hotel

Posted Apr 19, 2017
Pros: Location, ambiance, ease of access, price, clean, close to everything, food, drinks, everything!!
Cons: Bathroom: there was a noise from the faucet that wouldn't go away. Shower was semi-clogged. Found a little piece of glass in the floor.
Location: Shops, restaurants, ice cream stores, post office, corner store, Penny Arcade, Miramont Castle, Cliff Dwellings, Garden of the Gods, Zip Line, trails.
We traveled from Boulder, CO, to Cañon City for a short vacation on a Sunday, returning home next day. We went to the Royal Gorge Train first, and decided to stay at the beautiful town of Manitou Springs to see the town and the Cliff dwellings and Miramont Castle, the next day. We reserved the hotel through Expedia the nigh before. It seemed very nice in the website and they had a special, so we took it. When we finally got to the Cliff House at Pikes Peak Sunday afternoon, we fell in love with the elegance, impeccable ambiance and ease of access of this hotel (valet parking and all!). They take care of every little detail, inside and outside the hotel, and the rooms. The perfect location, the perfect view, excellent service, and at a really good price. The breakfast included was fabulous, the dinner at the restaurant was awesome, not only the quality of the food and drinks, but also the ambiance, the view, etc. My daughter is 7 years old, and she was THRILLED, just like us, from the beginning with the comfort, beauty and location of the hotel - at the base of the hill, right across from the "Retro" Penny Arcade (super fun for kids and their parents), the shops, restaurants, ice cream stores, etc. Nearby, you can even find a little "corner store" to buy milk, fruits, etc (something we always need with the little one) We stayed in a gorgeous studio-suite, where we all three were able to sleep (so so well) in a comfortable and big enough, king size bed. Highly recommended!!

luxury hotel walking distance to Manitou Springs

Posted Apr 10, 2017
Pros: Everything
The hotel is beautiful. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We were able to walk to restaurants and shops, the Cog Railway, and The Incline. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. Valet parking is wonderfully convenient!

Beautiful, historical hotel only an hour from Denv

Posted Apr 2, 2017
Came up to Manitou for a 3 day Mommy/Daughter getaway with my 13 yr old over Spring Break. We only live an hour away but felt like we were in a mountain town much farther away. We arrived at 1130a and not only was our room ready to go but we received a complimentary room upgrade to the Gen Pershing suite. Perfect for us. We watched movies, played games (both available at the front desk) , ordered room service and explored the town all within walking distance. Only time we drove was to go to the Cave of the Winds. We both got wonderful massages in town and overall had a very fun time. We're already planning another Mommy/daughter trip up there!!! :)

Out of Place

Posted Mar 27, 2017
Pros: It was beautiful, inside and out. Great food and the breakfast staff was very friendly.
Cons: You can't change how your patrons act.
Location: DO NOT go to the Royal Tavern for drinks or the Stagecoach for dinner. Hell's Kitchen was good for pizza though!!
Not that we are poor but we came in wearing our hiking attire and I thought I would be shunned and banned by the looks we were given. God forbid we don't want someone driving our car and we opt out of Valet parking...
