Enjoy Manitou Springs at this Great Historic Hotel

Pros: Love the Staff, the differences in each room, the location and everything around it.
Location: EVERYTHING. Cave of the Winds, Art studios, Resturants, shops, Arcade, hiking trails, THE INCLINE!!
Hotel is awesome, great rooms, great food, excellent fitness room. Walking distance from a great selection of restaurants and interesting shops. This time I was lucky enough to get the Bates Suite which has a round bedroom with a fireplace and flat screen TV, a living room with a leather couch and flat screen TV and then a bathroom with Jacuzzi tub.

Historic hotel next to downtown area

Pros: Staff, dining experience, location, historic feel, there were many different suites, we were upgraded to a better room
Cons: Because hotel is old, some things didn't work so great, for instance, room keys were cranky.
Location: Cliff house is just a few blocks from all the fun downtown shops.
We had a great time at the Cliff House. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The dining room, experience and food was incredible. The breakfast that comes with the room was exceptional! Many of the suites were different. We were upgraded to a suite from a standard room. It was just an overnight stay to get away and spend some alone time with my husband. This hotel fit the bill exactly.

Fantastic hotel super breakfasts and maid service!

The only slightly negative things I could say about the hotel, is that my room/bed was small and that I wish they had a knowledgeable concierge or staff on hand who knows where everything is in terms of the location of all the attractions, how to get there, etc. Other than that, it was a fantastic experience. The staff was wonderful, friendly, etc. The breakfast food was phenomenal! The location is great, right near all the souvenir shops, restaurants, etc.The hotel itself is very beautiful. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Wonderful setting. Close to shops and restaurants, yet their restaurant on premises is delightful and quite delicious. Excellent staff

Never disappoints!

My husband and I love going to The Cliff House. We've taken many friends & family & short romantic getaways just the two of us. Chris is outstanding at the bar! Our experiences have been nothing but exceptional!

Nice Historic Hotel

Pros: Location and staff was excellent!
Cons: The room was clean, but the coffee pot, glasses and refrigerator were in the bathroom....gross!
Location: Garden of the Gods, Cavern of the winds....minutes away from hotel.
Great location down town. Staff was extremely friendly.

Beautiful old hotel with a great location!

Pros: appearance , location breakfast was great! bed was very comfortable gas fireplace lovely!
Cons: tubs need to be serviced, jets cleaned
Location: downtown Manatou Springs, near restaurants, walking trails and shops. Great Wine Bar across the street D' Vine
Let me start with , I would stay here again! We were greeted by a friendly receptionist, received a room up grade to a lovely large room with a fireplace and Jacuzzi. We were also given early access to our room. But...I was going to take a Jacuzzi bath and when I turned the water on bug and bug carcass came out of the jets. This was disgusting but I am not particularly upset by bugs just not in my bath. I alerted the receptionist and was told another patron had also complained of this happening and that it was the fault of the city water. This response was unacceptable, because I was drinking city water! What might have been the worst was that after I returned to room at end of day there were still bug carcasses in jets, it had never been addressed.
