It’s a very beautiful property with lots of potential, but it’s very poorly maintained. In the afternoon in the room as well over 90° in the staff will not do anything to fix this. The shower was either scolding, hot or freezing cold no in between. On the morning of checkout, we woke up to the Entire hotel smelling of sewage.

The Cliff House is a beautiful historic hotel whose staff goes out of their way to provide a care free enjoyable experience. They were all very accommodating and friendly and we recommend them highly for a nice week or weekend in the Manitou Springs area. Their morning buffet was hearty and tasty and their dinners were absolutely fabulous.

I loved the aesthetics of the property; the furnishings were so comfortable and beautiful. The staff was very warm and welcoming. The valet parking was a plus. Even though there was an extra $15 per night, it was worth the convenience of not being concerned about getting a parking ticket on the street and the assurance of the car's safety in a garage. The restaurant's breakfast buffet was truly a delight and Tobey, our waitress was the absolute BEST. Such a relaxing way to start the day. We did try the evening meal in the restaurant and though the food was acceptable, the flavors were not as "gourmet" as we expected and did not wow us for the price. Our waiter, Ian, was a delight and very attentive. The alternative of having other restaurant options in the area within close walking distance kept this from being an issue. I will most definitely stay at The Cliff House if I ever find myself heading back to the Colorado Springs area.

Really enjoyed our stay! The rooms felt like you were back in time and have been well kept. The complimentary chocolates, pieces of history, and extra towels placed in our room every day made our stay even better. The staff were willing to do whatever we needed to be comfortable. If we come back to Manitou, we definitely stay here again!

This is a great little hotel. The staff was friendly. Shopping starts right next door. Parking is tight and is paid to the city on the street, so they offer a 24 hour valet service in their own gated lot. Some of the amenities were dated or out of place (toilet seat warmer, tiny fridge in bathroom) but my wife really liked it. Insisted on coming back next time. The location is just too good for coffee shops and window shopping. Jetted hot tub in the bathroom. Robes. Fireplace in the room. Empty dresser for clothes. The bed was comfortable and the drapes let no light in. Chocolates and news bulletins placed on the bed every night. Two restaurants with bars on site. All in a historical 19th century hospital turned hotel. It’s charming and still affordable. Check it out.

It’s a lovely historic property, extremely well kept. Our room was well appointed and comfortable. A lot of restoration work has been completed. Still a little to go but almost done. They have a wonderful front veranda with a fire pit. It’s right across from the fun old town. There is a great arcade for kids across the street. The staff is friendly and wonderful. They have a historic bar with a cozy see through fireplace and plenty of outdoor tables you can sit at and watch the town. Lots to do in the area from the Pikes Peak Cog rail to to top of Pikes Peak to antiquing, lots of historic properties to tour and there is a spa with hot tubs next door to the Hotel. Easy parking with valet $15.00 to go in and out as many times as you want with parking in their parking garage. We will stay there many more times!

I loved that the valet parking was free, which made it extremely easy to access the entry of the hotel. Just pull in front onto the circular drive! Matt and Paul were very kind and helpful with parking, assisting with luggage. Just in general they were very personable and friendly. Aaron, the front desk associate, was also kind, friendly, and patient as he gave us check in instructions. f Christopher, our waiter in the dining room, was professional and friendly, but he knew when to give privacy and space. The restaurant was quaint and had lovely offerings, but unfortunately, I felt the crab cake breading was too brown - almost had a burnt taste. That would have been my ONLY disappointment. I highly recommend the Cliff House!!
