The greatest staff ever

My husband and I had pre-paid for our 4 night stay, which was nonrefundable, 2 1/2 months ahead of our visit. AT THE LAST MINUTE, our flight from Rochester, NY to Colorado was cancelled, due to weather conditions across the entire NorthEast. We spent HOURS trying to find a way to get to Manitou Springs, Colorado (this hotel), but there was simply no way unless we paid $2600 more and then the logistics to get there (multiple stops and layovers) were of nightmare calibre. (My husband is a diabetic and flying is tough enough on him when the logistics aren't so awful.) So we up and DROVE from Rochester NY (left at 5:30 am) to Manitou Springs,Colorado....a crazy long way but our daughter was to be in a production at Pikes Peak Center (the next day!) and this was a chance in a lifetime for her! So we had a deadline! Long story short, the wonderful staff and owner at this Manitou Springs Comfort Inn recognized this bizarre situation, and agreed to refund our first night there (as we were enroute!), and our last night there (as we couldn't take the next am flight as previously planned, but would be starting the long drive home.) They are lovely people, and we appreciated so very, very much what they did for us, which they did not have to do.
