Comfortable place to stay.

Posted Jul 26, 2016
Pros: It was clean and comfortable.
Cons: Free Wi-fi
Location: The hotel is close to the Broadmoor resort and the USFSA Hall of Fame and Museum.
The staff was friendly. Each person in our party received a chocolate chip cookie at check in. The room was spacious and clean. The hours on the pool were reasonable. The pool area was clean as well.

Loved the proximity to the highway

Posted Jul 21, 2016
Pros: Just about everything! Beautiful grounds and interior, comfortable bed, large comfortable room
Cons: the food...rethink the menu options - at least perhaps something a little different for dinner vs lunch
Location: loved the location...very close to the highway for exploring the area but no highway noise. The zoo & Seven Falls very close by
Proximity to the highway was great though I could not hear any of the highway noise. This hotel is lovely inside and out, staff is extremely friendly. Negatives about my stay here: the first day I went out housekeeping did not make sure the door to my room was closed and I returned after 9 PM to find my door had been left open. I called the front desk and they did respond quickly to send someone from security but the first thought from them was what did I want them to do...perhaps I took the question wrong but why would that be there first thought? I am happy to report nothing was taken from my room but I was the one to check the bathroom, closet and under the bed to make sure no one else was in the room...shouldn't security have been the one to do that? I would stay here again...but I think this one incident could have been handled better and the food options for lunch/dinner are mediocre. I believe I had read that the Atrium Cafe had an "award-winning chef"....hmmmm, expected a lot more based on that

Highway noise in the room

Posted May 23, 2016
Pros: Free cookie at check in!
Cons: overall accountability of the service staff.
Location: close to major road and highway, you hear trucks inside your room. convenient location.
Too close to the road, you hear trucks driving by all night. Stayed for 5 nights and requested a mini fridge at check in, asked again in the morning before I left, asked again when I got back at night. Called front desk at 7pm, called again at 9pm and finally got a fridge after that. Room service food was a disappointment, you get a better meal at Denny's. I expected more, especially from the Hilton brand.

Pros: The staff, especially the shuttle drivers were spot on
The staff was very accommodating. I requested a refrigerator and microwave, if available, and it was in our room at check in. Very pleased!!

This hotel is HUGE (think Las Vegas big). MUCH bigger than I expected. If you're not comfortable taking a 10 minute walk through the hotel to your room, ask to stay as close to the front desk as possible or ask the hotel which entrance you should use that is closest to your room. Otherwise, nice hotel. Perfectly clean, spacious and comfortable. Room service wasn't terribly overpriced and tasted good.

I feel the shower drainage could have been better. The shower did not drain until after the water was turned off.

One & done

Posted Mar 22, 2016 on Hotels
Wasn't all that great. For the price not worth it. Stayed at other hotels for the same price & received more for my dollar. Was unable to use the pool, cabel went out, saw a sugar ant, no microwave, no fridge, sirens constantly, no free coffee or breakfast. Was charged for the fridge when asked for one. Would not stay here again. On a possitive the did reimburse me one nights stay.
