Great Stay in Colorado Springs

Posted Apr 20, 2016 on Hotels
I have stayed here for two separate instances before and I have loved it both times. It's a great hotel and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast isn't all that great but it's okay. I really liked this hotel and highly recommend it.

Mucky and Locked Out

Posted Mar 28, 2016 on Hotels
This was our second stay at this Hampton Inn. I have to say our first experience was much better. This time the first day we were there we went down to the hot tub and we found wet towel allover the floor, towels filled the soiled towel bin, there were no clean towels which didn't end up making a difference because when we went to the hot tub it was brown. When I say brown, I mean it loomed like people took a mud bath then got into the hot tub. I told the front desk and they said they would take a look. The next day maintenance came but it was closed all day. We were expecting them to drain it as bad as it was but when they opened it again the entire pool/hot tub area reeked of chemicals and the hot tub was still brownish merky. Besides this, the free breakfast is nothing to write home about unless you are okay with powdered scrambled eggs or like toast, yogurt, or Corn Flakes. I do have to say the bacon is good, it was there one of the 6 days I went down. Our room keys didn't work 3 times which was a nuisance especially when you come home with a sick daughter who really just wants to go to bed. The air conditioning didn't work correctly, we like it cool at night and even though you can set it as low as 65°, it says it's that temperature but it is not 65°, it's more like 71 or 72°. I liked bed and the pillow, so much that I came home and order a pillow just like it for myself, but my husband hated it; so there you go, comfort is a matter of opinion.
