Nice motel and very clean. Prices were great!

Posted Sep 11, 2017
Pros: Price. Amenities. Free breakfast. Pet friendly (Pets stay free!). Professional and friendly staff. Comfortable and very clean rooms. Everything!
Cons: There are restaurants within walking distance of the motel. But if I were to make a recommendation, it would be an onsite restaurant & lounge.
Location: Located on Geyser Drive in Colorado Springs. There's always something going on in the Springs, or even a drive in the mountains.
I recently spent 3days/2nights at this La Quinta in Colorado Springs, where nice motels with good prices are hard to find. A friend told me about this La Quinta, so I checked online. Pets stay free! The motel itself was inviting. The desk staff was professional and friendly. I had several requests due to a disability. All my requests were met. From booking online to express checkout, things could not have gone more smoothly. Complimentary hot breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were outstanding. I highly recommend the La Quinta on Geyser in Colorado Springs. I'll stay there again.

Golfing at the Broadmoor was an easy drive from this La Quinta. Dog friendly - - lots of dogs.

Nice hotel.

Posted Aug 29, 2017
Pros: Checkout is at 12:00 so I had a little extra time if I needed it.
I stayed at this hotel on 2 separate nights during my trip and was glad I did so. The staff that I interacted with were very cheerful and pleasant to work with. Very nice continental breakfast well tended.

Great room

Posted Aug 23, 2017
The room was maintained and clean. The free breakfast was better than most. The only complaint was the pool was outside and not clean because of the trees and had debris in it which made it unappealing to swim in. I like how they are pet friendly.

Staff very friendly but only one on, Elevator ceiling grates were zip tied in place. Lots of trash in parking lot.

Pet hair galore...

Posted Jul 9, 2017
Pros: Staff, breakfast, free parking
Cons: Don't allow pets, update (new carpet, larger, more comfortable beds)
Location: Perfect location near friends and family for us and the wedding just up the hill. Also near enough to Garden of the Gods for our afternoon adventure.
While the hotel staff and breakfast offerings were great, and the room spacious, the extreme amount of pet hair in the carpets, especially the hall ways was disgusting. I will no longer use non-smoking, breakfast, free parking my priority reasoning to choose a hotel...it will now be "NO PETS." My son has asthma and dogs are his top allergen exacerbating his condition. It's unfortunate that I didn't know I had to research the pet option as we've never had this issue before. On the plus side, the room was good-sized, with a nice-sized bathroom, though everything was well worn, needing to be updated. The staff was friendly and helpful 24 hours, breakfast was good and parking was free. The beds were very small and quite uncomfortable, but we could have gotten over these things had it not been for the pet hair everywhere. We will not be staying at a La Quinta Inn again.

Go anywhere else

Posted Jul 8, 2017
Pros: Nothing. Stay away!
Cons: Pick anything and you've got a good start.
Location: Zoo, Garden of Gods, Pike's Peak, Downtown Colorado Springs
This is not a good section of town. Homeless people everywhere. Hairs were all over both comforters. Not a few hairs, looked like someone clipped their own or their dog's hair. These were all about 1/4"-1/2" hairs. Called front desk and had them change sheets. Boiler went out, so we didn't have any hot water from wake up in morning until late in the day around 5:00 pm or so. Fire alarm went off 2:00 am next morning and found out boiler over heated (causing fire alarm) and no hot water the next day. The only elevator doesn't work most of the time, employees joked about it. The stairwell wreaks! A group of guests took up 3 of the 9 or so tables during the free breakfast. They clearly didn't care that people didn't have a place to eat breakfast or even sit as they just lazed around the breakfast area not even eating. They left uneaten fruits, used plates & cups all over the breakfast area. The front desk person also happened to be the breakfast setup/cleanup one person crew, so no help there. This was our MOST EXPENSIVE hotel during 4 hotel trip! Other hotels blew this place away such as Element in Lone Tree and it was 40% cheaper! Hotel wanted to give free voucher for 1 night since they couldn't give money back through Expedia. I wouldn't stay at this LaQuinta for free. Possibly our first and last LaQuinta to stay at even with free voucher that I will probably just throw away. They should honor sending it to us though. We will see.
