It was in a convenient location.

Posted Jul 9, 2016
Pros: Location
Cons: New pillows and sheets.
Location: Very close to cave of the winds, seven falls and garden of the gods. Lots of places to eat in the area as well.
It was very close to a lot of things. Beautiful view. The rooms were clean, a little outdated, but fine for an overnight stay. The lighting outside did not allow for a very dark room. Staff was nice and the continental breakfast was nice. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool.

Good Enough

Posted Oct 11, 2015
Cons: Breakfast is just junk food.
We stayed for a week and it was in a good location for Manitou and the Springs. Our first room had a east facing bathroom that when the sun came up it was VERY bright, then the spot light that shined in the front room all night was VERY bright. The staff moved us which was very nice. I would stay again, just make sure your room faces the street, North and South.

Cons: The beds could be more comfortable instead of hard as a rock and the continental breakfast could be more substantial
Hotel staff were fairly friendly when we got to the hotel, room was clean but could use a paint job as the paint was peeling from places on the walls near the ceiling. My entire family had trouble sleep because of the discomfort of the mattresses, which is surprising because the kids don't usually have trouble sleeping in to many different places. The continental breakfast was very small without any thing more than cereal and toast which is a lot less than I have seen at any other place that offers it

Base of pike's peak

Old but clean and neat. Met our needs for good location. We stay outdoors hiking and just need clean and inexpensive place. If you want new and luxury this is not for you.

Nice hotel, close to Denver International Airport.

Posted Sep 20, 2015
Pros: Convenient to airport.
Cons: As I mentioned above, being able to cool the room without cold air blowing on us.
Location: Good place to stay if you are flying out the next day. Convenient to all the activities in Denver.
Courteous, problem-free check-in. Spacious room. Lots of towels. Only complaint was with temperature control. With the A/C going cold air blew on us in bed. Tried using fan, but got too hot in room.

Close to Garden of the Gods

Posted Sep 12, 2015
Pros: Very spacious room, largest so far after the 4 before on this trip. Had NO problems while there. Easy to get to.
Location: Don't miss the gift shop at the Garden of the Gods park (free entrance - owned by City of Colorado Springs). Largest ever seen, have EVERYTHING.
This is an old property with a new name, about 1/2 mile from old historical district. It has been well maintained and upgraded. There is a restaurant at the property, but it is closed. Don't miss the Cog Railroad trip to the top of Pikes Peak, or the Mason Jar restaurant about 3 miles from hotel.
