Amazing Pre-Wedding Getaway!
My fiancee and I wanted to stay in a quiet place while still having access to all that Colorado has to offer. The Bunkhouse was absolutely perfect for this! The property was gorgeous and we enjoyed visiting with the cows and horses. We were greeted by deer nearly every morning. Kathleen is an amazing host! She was very accommodating with our check-in (as we did not arrive until midnight on the first day.) She left wonderful cinnamon rolls as a treat. She was always available for anything we needed. The space had everything that we needed from seasonings to extra pillows. We felt right at home. The worst part was having to leave at the end of our stay. We hope to be back soon!

Great Property
Kathleen was an awesome host and has a wonderful property with lots of amenities. Trails literally out the back gate, on National Forest that borders the property. Loved the horses and cows. And saw mule deer several times. Convenient to town and had everything you would need in the bunkhouse for your stay. Clean and comfortable. No complaints. Will be back again. Thank you!

FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY
This is the best VRBO I've stayed at in my entire experience of VRBO's (and I've stayed at many). This is a property that is truly being 'loaned' to travelers/vacationers with all of the comforts of home. The property was clean, had many of the things I appreciate in my own home (Kleenex, throw blankets, spices and seasonings, etc). The host's communication was better than 5-stars--I wished I could've spent more time with the hosts to get to know them better as I think we would be friends! ;)

Quiet Birthday/Anniversary Get Away
I was hoping to be able to see the mountains from the cabin. However, the bunkhouse is surrounded by pine trees which is still an amazing view in the daytime with the snow. The little red book has everything you need to know to make your trip easy. The brochures by the TV or helpful if you don't already know what it is you would like to do. And Kathleen is always a phone call away with amazing ideas. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook with and the condiments and seasoning were stocked with the basics. We enjoyed French Toast for breakfast and shrimp and steaks for dinner. We also tried the Chinese restaurant in the town on our first night. Amazing. The bathroom is well stocked with everything. You could get away with just packing a toothbrush and toothpaste if you don't require a lot. Four-wheel drive is highly recommended in the wintertime. We got stuck on the dirt road right by the cabin so we left it and went in for the night. But early in the morning Kathleen and Bud teamed up with us to help get it off the ice. Kathleen grabbed the ice melt and wood chips for us to put down, Bud jumped in our SUV to drive, and my husband and I pushed. That was really fun (I love puzzles and solving things). They also plowed the snow off the dirt road up to the main road before we left which made it easier to leave and come back late that night. This has turned out to be one of our favorite vacation spots. My husband said we well definitely be back.

Relaxing and Private Stay!
My wife and I loved our stay at the Bunkhouse! Very cozy, but with a full kitchen and comfy bed. We loved that we could hike (literally) from the property without using our vehicle and it was very private and secluded. Beautiful view of Pike's Peak also from property.

Bunkhouse in the Pines is great!
I enjoyed everything about my stay at Bunkhouse in the Pines. The place is in a beautiful setting, with a horse themed decor, mixed with holiday decorations. I even baked an apple pie there and had all I needed. Kathleen is an attentive and friendly host. I couldn't have been more pleased.
