Clean and comfortable, but with a few issues

I booked 2 suites for 3 nights, pay at the hotel. We guaranteed the rooms for late arrival and called the hotel to confirm and let them know we’d arrive late. I provided 2 cell numbers. When we arrived, they were oversold and relocated us to the outskirts of town. They never called to let us know. They did comp our first night, but we had to change hotels mid-stay since the other place was also sold out.
We returned to Townplace for the last 2 nights. They gave us adjoining rooms, which was really nice.
That stay was fine. Rooms clean, kitchen well organized, and beds comfortable.
Two shortcomings: There’s no table or chairs for dining. The desk includes a roll-out table, which we positioned in front of the couch, and were able to seat 4 (2 on couch, 1 on desk chair, 1 on ottoman), but it was tight.
The hotel breakfast room is small. 3-4 tables plus a bar, and access to the food is in a tight corner, so people trip over each other. We had trouble getting a table, and food was running out. So plan extra time.
Our friends used the laundry. They had to wait an hour for someone to remove their clothes from washer. Then they had to babysit their load because someone needed to use the washer right after them.
The staff is friendly, but not good at follow-through. They never called when they promised to let us know the status of our room. They were warm and helpful in person. So I think it's an issue of being disorganized.
