Poor security

Cons: Security. Police when needed. If you have a returning problem patron who has a history of violence, ban him.
There was an obnoxious hotel patron at the Burger Bar inside the Holiday Inn. He was rude to the waitress, who asked him not to harass, but he stated that that was his job. He was making everyone at the bar uncomfortable. At some point he left for a smoke, at that point the waitress stated that he had been kicked out of the bar for threatening patrons and starting fights. It was not long after that he threatened me with bodily harm. I told the bar staff and front desk immediately and ask for them to call the police. I told them i was going to my room and did not feel safe in the hotel, as there was an individual residing in it that stated he intended to do me harm. If the police every arrived, they did not speak with me. I requested the manager come to my room. I told him I was know a hostage in my hotel room and my entire night and trip was ruined. They said Expedia would compensate me.

Daniel, The situation with the other patron at the bar was being handled by the bartender and manager when you intervened and the words were exchanged between the two of you. He had already been cut off and was asked to leave which as you stated he did. He did not start fights and the only person we were aware of that he threatened was you, he was not a recurring guest who causes problems. As soon as you notified us we did contact the police. Unfortunately since it was not an emergency situation they did take a while to come out, but they did come out. As it was very late when they arrived they chose not to disturb you as the situation was over, and they were aware of what had happened if there was any need for follow up they would be prepared. The manager did offer to move you to the hotel next door to us at no charge to try and make you feel safer which you declined. We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us due to a situation that was beyond our control, we did do everything in our power to correct the situation and ensure that you felt safe. Security is a top priority and we will always ensure our guests are safe and secure.

Airport hotel

Pros: Clean, modern, and close to the airport. Friendly staff.
Cons: Make checklists for the cleaning staff so they don't forget things. Make sure rooms are serviced every single day. Check that everything functions.
Location: Convenient to airport and Colorado Springs city center. Easy to get on local roads and expressways.
The hotel is new and modern. The facility was fine, but I had to ask for something every single day. First it was to have the room cleaned, then to have the telephone working which took 3 days, then I had to ask for washcloths, plastic cups, etc. The house cleaning routines need to be managed better. The hotel advertises a business center but the printer only worked once in the 5 days I was there.

Nice Hotel for the price

The hotel is pretty far from anything fun to do but it was a nice clean room. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. All and all it was a good stay.

Great Hotel For The Price

Room was nicely appointed with modern touches and upgrades. Bed was comfortable. Hotel restaurant had very good food but the real standout was their restaurant manager, Renee. She is exceptional and truly one of a kind. We've never been made to feel more welcome and well taken care of. She's one-of-a-kind for sure. If you go there, tell her The Shepherds say hello and thanks again.

New looking hotel

This was a beautiful, clean, new looking hotel close to the Airport. Nice restaurant/bar with micro brews on the first floor.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone and will stay again. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly.

Nice but needs work

Hotel had a remodel a few months ago so it's in rather new condition. Late at night there was no hot water at all. Had to take a almost comfortable shower. The hot tub they said had been broken which was very disappointing. The hot tub was a major factor in our booking. Parking had no security or cameras of any kind according to staff. Hotel still needs work

Very Comfortable Hotel Near Airport

It was a very comfortable and great experience, from start to finish! The rooms were spotless and comfortable and the entire hotel staff was excellent. Also, the restaurant attached to the hotel was very good!

look out for obstacles trying to get to the front

Pros: IT WAS CLOSE TO MY DESTINATION.
Cons: YOU PROBABLY CAN'T CHANGE IT BUT WHEN YOU ENTER THE MAIN DOOR AND ARE LOOKING FOR WHERE TO CHECK IN, THE FRONT DESK IS BEHIND A LARGE PILLAR.
I BOOKED A SINGLE KING BED CLOSE TO THE ELEVATOR. WHAT I GOT WAS A TWO-QUEEN BED ROOM ALL THE WAY AT THE END OF THE HALL. THEN I GOT A WAKE-UP CALL AT 5:30 AM TO WHICH I NEVER ASKED FOR!!!
