The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is very close to many historical sights and there were a lot of dining options close by

The location of the hotel is very good, walkable to all sites and have dining options on footsteps. The staff was very cooperative and helped with getting cabs super early in the day. The decor is very traditional and appealing. Elevators are quite small and old but were working 🙂 Will surely recommend!

Consider the budget first before you book the room
The hotel location is perfect. And the room is classic. But not much facilities. We had to pay the limousine directly with cash not credit card,which really shocked me. You can imagine if I didn’t have enoug Euro then.

good location, but poor climate control
This hotel is in a good location. It was super hot when we were there and the air conditioning just never seemed to get our room cool enough. Very small, tight quarters. Bathroom was small, but updated.

Great experience at this property prime location in central rome. The rooftop bar is wonderful just wished it stayed open longer. Rooms are a little dated but typical Roman style. Very clean and staff was great.

Location and rooftop bar views are excellent - you feel right there in the Roman Forum. Breakfast choice is poor - mostly cakes and biscuits and the only hot food (scrambled eggs) were sludge. Rooms look dated but the bathrooms are modern and bed comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay at hotel forum. It is so close to the Colosseum and the Roman forum is right outside the front door. The service was wonderful with early check in and a bottle of champagne waiting on us. Would absolutely stay here again!

You couldn’t get a better location than this. Breakfast view is the forum and the coliseum is literally around the corner. All the big sites are a 15 minute walk, just perfect. Beautiful place with really cool little patios and rooftop restaurant. Awesome little bar one floor up from there, also amazing view. Breakfast is great, buffet with everything. Staff is amazing, from the staff at the front desk to the people that cleaned the room and especially the staff in the breakfast restaurant. If I can think of anything negative, it’s a bit noisy in the rooms. But it’s a cool old place and I loved my stay

Loved our stay there. Old world charm, relaxed, and very clean. Breath taking views on the rooftop.Tastefully decorated interior everywhere. Friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to major attractions. We stayed there for two nights for a one-day visit to Rome on Aug. 21. We were able to visit all the major attractions by walking except for the Vatican for which we took a taxi. It was a hot day with a high of 38 degrees but it didn't feel too bad as we returned twice to our room during the day to rest and refresh. Our room wasnt big but that was expected. It felt like home. Thank you.

The Hotel was central to all of the main attractions. The only downside might be the air conditioning could have been better. However it has been blistering hot during August, so I cannot fault them completely.

5 day stay.. Property is in an excellent location. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooftop dining excellent. Rooms nice. Decor of hotel very nice. They have elevators but only big enough for 3 people. cons: Expedia VIP room upgrade not offered, ac in room was not cooling while the lobby area was very cold, breakfast was marginal and the same daily, beds were hard, pillows flat. If the cons are not important to you then the location alone is worth it.

Elegant old line hotel was a comfortable stay
I booked the Forum Hotel because of location, as well as the antique decor. The service at this hotel was excellent. the room was beautiful. the room did not have the extra bed it should have. But the hotel staff quickly moved one in for use, and all was well. the older wood panels and oil paintings in this hotel gave it the old world feel we were looking for. Our room had a very nice view of the ruins. The lobby was nice to sit and read in, or just rest in. the rooftop bar had a fabulous view, and was a great way to relax. I would definitely return to this hotel.

All about location
Really old hotel in a great location right across from Forum and walking distance from everything. Hotel is very old but needs major upgrade. Our room was good size and very clean. Once this was a great place. Rooftop bar is great but very expensive, like NYC expensive, but worth it. Overall service was efficient but not very personable.

Charming old style hotel but the I got was very small although comfortable the bed took almost all the space It was extremely hot that week so windows could not be open AC was good Reception was very efficient No problem getting taxis The Bar could have been open earlier with more efficient service They need to pay attention to small details like having coffee stirrers

Very convenient location - walkable to most of Rome's premier historical attractions. Staff wasn't rude, but weren't necessarily friendly and at times seemed almost annoyed by our questions. Accommodations were clean but significantly outdated. The size of the TV mounted on the wall was laughable. The elevators were tiny, (three trips for three people plus luggage) and the floor-plan was something out of the Winchester Mystery House...we had to take one elevator up a floor, walk to a separate elevator only to take it back down one floor to our room, and couldn't take the stairs for some reason...lots of "character"

Good for sightseeing, bad for restaurants
Great location if you want to be super close to the Forum/Colosseum area, but avoid the nearby restaurants which are all tourist traps. The hotel itself was comfortable and clean, though the rooftop bar had very slow service and stale bar snacks.

No hair conditioner provided and the elevators are obnoxious and annoying at best, but the staff is super helpful and friendly and the location is pretty perfect, so all things considered a great place to stay!
