It’s in a great location to visit the old downtown Columbia area with access to many restaurants within walking distance.

Close to restaurants and USC campus and had garage parking. However, it did not offer a free breakfast, which so many hotels offer now. You could pay for a breakfast though it was expensive to do so. Also parking was an additional $15 per night.

There was no coffee in the lobby in the morning. It was being changed out and took no less than 45 minutes for new coffee to arrive. That's not acceptable. The shower was so outdated and had a handicapped seat in it. Also the shower head barely had water coming out of it. And the bathroom was mopped with a sour mop. It smelled bad.

This a beautiful hotel and we enjoyed our stay very much. BUT, the incessant drilling from a nearby room woke us from afternoon naps and went on for over an hour after that. We called the front desk, who said they would check on it. A few minutes later we were told the contractor only had two more holes to drill! We mentioned the disturbance on checkout and were told they hotel "would make it right" with us. When asked how they would do that, the response was "have a nice day."
