The room itself was clean and comfortable. The lobby was very poorly lit, so it was dark and dingy. My room was on the first floor; however, this required walking down a few steps to get to the first floor. In essence, it was similar to going down into a basement to get to. The "basement" first floor was very dark and dingy and emitted an unsafe feeling. There was no elevator in the motel; therefore, had my room been on the third floor, this would have required climbing 3 flights of stairs to reach. Since the lobby and "basement" first floor were so poorly lit and dark, I would assume the other floors were equally so. I am not sure how a handicapped person could have gotten to their room, since going to either the first floor or an upper floor would have required steps and stairs. There was no continental breakfast, as most other motels provide. The price was low - somewhere around $65; however, there are plenty of other motels that one can get in that same price range which are well lit, which are modernized, and which provide a breakfast. Would I stay there again? No. Would I recommend it to others? No. Having had the experience of staying there, I would be willing to drive 30 miles out of the way to seek other lodging, if that were necessary.
