A little noisy

Posted Nov 17, 2016
Pros: The check-in was easy. The beds were so comfortable! Location was convenient to many restaurants and historic sites that we wanted to visit.
Cons: Soundproofing.
Location: This is very close to the State Capitol, museums and historic sites. We went to Clark's Hill Historic Site & the State Museum in the Capitol building
The staff was very friendly! The hotel is older but has had some updates made. But every sound from an adjoining room can be heard easily. The doors, walking, coughing, etc. That made for a rough night of sleep. However, the beds & pillows were very comfortable. That is a huge plus!

Location: It's almost downtown in Jefferson City, MO, which affords many great things to see and do. That convenience, however, is not worth it.
The room itself was clean and comfortable. The lobby was very poorly lit, so it was dark and dingy. My room was on the first floor; however, this required walking down a few steps to get to the first floor. In essence, it was similar to going down into a basement to get to. The "basement" first floor was very dark and dingy and emitted an unsafe feeling. There was no elevator in the motel; therefore, had my room been on the third floor, this would have required climbing 3 flights of stairs to reach. Since the lobby and "basement" first floor were so poorly lit and dark, I would assume the other floors were equally so. I am not sure how a handicapped person could have gotten to their room, since going to either the first floor or an upper floor would have required steps and stairs. There was no continental breakfast, as most other motels provide. The price was low - somewhere around $65; however, there are plenty of other motels that one can get in that same price range which are well lit, which are modernized, and which provide a breakfast. Would I stay there again? No. Would I recommend it to others? No. Having had the experience of staying there, I would be willing to drive 30 miles out of the way to seek other lodging, if that were necessary.

The room had a strange odor when we walked in but after asking for a type of freshener spray it was just fine. Staff was accommodating with letting us check out a little later than the normal check out time. Regular price for us was too much but we got a great discount from another website.

Good location

Posted Oct 18, 2016
The hotel location is good - close to many attractions. The room itself had some issues. The people in the room above us didn't sleep much and we know this because the floors above us creaked each time they walked across their room. The mattress was very worn containing a valley on one side. The staff was very friendly and the internet was very good.

Nice hotel, good price

Pros: Close to attractions.
Cons: Noise! Traffic from hiway and room above.
Location: Location was great. Close to downtown. Perkins restaurant in walking distance.
Nice hotel, close to downtown. Clean rooms. The only bad thing was noise from hiway and people in room above us. Did not sleep well.

Nice hotel for quick stay.

We (my son and I) stayed there on our way traveling through the area. Initial reservation was made online, they upgraded us from one King to two Doubles at no extra charge. AC worked well, beds were comfortable. Bathroom was a little run-down but for the price was okay. Only complain was the odor, which smelled like strong cleaning chemicals. I put a packet of coffee in the AC and that helped.
