It was clean enough, and that's a big plus for me. However, there is only one elevator. And it is located at the very end of the hallway (with a view of the outside). I have a bad knee and this made things difficult, carrying bags, etc. The biggest glitch was the check-in. There was a person in front of me checking in. The desk clerk was on the phone, arguing with Expedia about payment. She kept the guest waiting while she tried to argue with Expedia about getting paid from them. She finally gave the guest their key and motioned them on away--while she continued to argue with Expedia on the phone. When she finally got off the phone and turned her attention to me, imagine her chagrin when I also had booked with Expedia. She started in again about their policy. She told me next time, book directly with her. I told her I got a discount and she said she would match it. I didn't want to argue and I was tired of standing there waiting for her, so I just ignored it and went through the process. That and the overall locked-down look of the lobby turned me off. There was also a sign indicating they would hold $40 on my card for "incidentals"--like what? In that hotel? No food, no incidentals to pay for--but whatever, I just wanted to get into my room.
