Great location, convenient for downtown activities

Pros: Great staff, great location, classic architecture, rooms are classic/modern mix. Good bar and restaurant in hotel and Starbucks in basement.
Cons: Thicker windows/walls for noise cancellation.
Location: Lot of restaurants and places to have drink. Plenty of other small shops near-by.
Loved everything about the stay except the noise. Walls are thin as are the windows and apparently the city likes to use a leaf blower at 1:00 am for gathering trash and trash pick-ups are very early. With the thin windows you can hear it all very well. For folks who are used to living in the city this is absolutely normal and expected, if however you are not used to this you might want to bring ear-plugs.

Hotel staff went above and beyond to help us. Our car was towed and they not only made the call to find us but gave us a ride to pick it up. They were amazing!

A pleasant surprise.

Cons: I know that phones are the main way to explore a city, but it would have been nice to have some info in our room to introduce us to the area.
Location: Very convenient to restaurants.
My daughter and I came to Columbia to attend an admitted students weekend at USC. From the moment that we pulled up to the curb at the hotel, we were pampered. The valets were friendly and very helpful. The lobby was a throwback to a time of luxury. I loved the safe door that was open to serve as the entrance to the restaurant. The basement Starbucks was large cozy and inviting. Our room was trendy but very comfortable. We had everything that we needed and more. We hope to spend many more weekends at this hotel while visiting our new Gamecock!

Columbia SC Famously Hot New Year's Eve

We've stayed for the last two years. Loads of fun. Sheraton excellent. Roof top bar excellent location to view midnight fireworks. See you next year.

Dog Friendly

Inept

Total breakdown of communication between hotel and Expedia resulted in me being charged for 5 room nights for an actual 3 night stay, and even after being promised by corporate that the batter would. Be resolved, the local hotel staff have only made changes such that I have paid for 4 nights and at higher rates than agreed. Expedia were as much help as a “chocolate fire guard” despite over 3 hours on the phone with them!!!

Great location and clean beautiful room TV had a distorted picture Can’t really sleep in,because you can hear everything In the hall way. . Check out is at 12 but the maid was knocking on the doors to clean the rooms at 9 am.

No hot water and tiny rooms with no refrigerator

We were there over Thanksgiving holiday and unfortunately the hotel was having plums issues and we had no hot water most of the time. This delayed our plans with our family because of needing showers. Took cold ones finally. The rooftop bar is great and downtown location is great but rooms are too small and I don’t see value fir what you spend.
