Nice hotel

Pros: you didnt hear any noise from the elevators, the other occupants, or children run and screeming in the hallways.
Location: Be sure to visit Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse which is about a 15 minute drive from the hotel. Be sure to make reservations so you want have to wait
The room was very exquisite - not your normal everyday hotel room. If you are looking for a weekend getaway with that special someone, this is the place. There is a bar on the roof top located on the 17th floor which overlooks the city. There are restraurants within walking distance of the hotel . There is also a Starbucks loated in the lower level of the hotel.

hotel was great but.......

Very long walk to parking garage past homeless people. Very scary for me as a female. Elevator was out twice had to walk even farther to car on third floor. And had to pay almost $13.00 extra for this!!!!!!! Otherwise the hotel itself was pleasant. However I wouldn't stay again due to parking situation.

Close to USC

Pros: Starbucks downstairs and had a great Deli next door!
Cons: Mattress and amenities.
Location: Great location. Farmer's Market on Saturday morning! Close to USC.
Valet staff were awesome. Room was either hot or cold. Bed mattress was very noisy. We did not get towels one night and coffee the next. I was very disappointed since we had stayed at other hotels closure to campus which were cheaper and a lot nicer.

AC never got the room cold and one of the window shades was missing so the room was never dark. Paid extra fro club level and the food was fair at best.

Quick stay but very pleasant

Pros: The quiet.
Cons: I was very happy with everything during my stay.
Location: Columbia can be a lot of fun. Several innovative restaurants and the University provides many exceptional music and artistic events as well as sports.
I liked this hotel a lot. It was very clean, the rooms were exceptionally quiet. The building was old and was renovated into a hotel while maintaining it's character and interest. The staff were all courteous and efficient. The location was exactly what I needed in downtown and the valet parking worked just fine. I found I was comfortable in this hotel wherever I was, the lobby, the bar or restaurant or my room. Some newer places are so sterile it is like staying in a plastic box. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Okay to lay your head.

No bell hop upon arrival. Check in easy enough. This gal was the only one who ever acknowledged us being there. Broken ice machine all weekend. No fridge in rooom???? Room not cleaned until 330pm? We got back from short trip wanted to relax, here comes house keeper! Beds comfortable. Location on Main St. and City Market every Saturday. Sorry but will not stay here next trip to visit friends. Marriott around the corner is better. This Sheraton needs to work on some things.
