Room needed remodeling

Posted Jul 23, 2015
The bed was good? The tub was nasty, bathroom on the edge of renovating. Free washers were good, hotel for a Staynridge, needs a renovation. They run it like a mom and pop second class motel. Nice people, but wifi horrible in the room, had to go to the lobby. Nice business center, my computer would pot print though. A C- overall for an inflated price. It was not a value at all and did not warrant the price.

Weekend visit with family - ideal spot

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: Location, staff, amenities (kitchenette)
Location: Close to everything; easy to get downtown if that's what you want, too
Loved the pool - good depth, well-maintained, ideal for kiddos. Quiet (read: family-friendly quiet vs. party loud). Very nice staff, nice space, good breakfast in the morning.

Swim Meet

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Convenience to places to eat, lots of space for swimmers to "crash", lots of coffee, and near areas for walking, running - and a grocery nearby.
Location: 10 minutes to the Mizzou Aquatic Center
We've been in Columbia too many times to count for swim meets at Mizzou - but first time at Staybridge. This is our swim meet location for life - amazing and friendly staff - great breakfast (and available for long hours) for the swimmers - and fresh coffee all day long. Comfortable and quiet suites - and plenty of space.

Overpriced

Posted May 12, 2015 on Hotels
The bathroom was small. The bed was a little hard for my taste and the sofa bed for my kids didn't have any cushion, you could feel the bars in your back. We were there on a weekend so no maid service. The breakfast was great though. I wasn't real impressed by the room for the money.

Nothing but good experiences here

Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: staff, room, breakfast buffet
Cons: breakfast buffet starts later on the weekend its hard to find a place to set up your suitcase (room layout problem)
Location: If you want to try some gourmet food at reasonable prices, we found the Sycamore, the Broadway Brewery and Sofia's all good places to eat.
We stayed here primarily because many of the usual hotels were booked. It turned out to be a lucky break. The hotel, staff were all very nice. The room was spacious and very quiet which was surprising because the place was very full. The breakfast buffet was better than many found at some brand name hotels. All in all, a pleasant experience. We were a bit disappointed that the breakfast buffet started later on the weekends as that made it difficult to eat and still catch an early morning flight.

Nice hotel

It was a short stay for us so we did not get to enjoy the pool, but the breakfast was great, the room was nice and the bed was comfortable.

Love staying here

Posted May 5, 2015
Pros: Already noted above
Location: Highway and lots of restaurants and shopping center
I have stayed several times while visiting my daughter at Mizzou. During the week, they serve free dinner and wine and beer. Great full breakfast every morning. There is a TGIF across the parking lot and the location is very close to the highway. I have always found the staff to be friendly and accommodating, rooms are very large with a separate bedroom able to be closed off from the living room by a door. Full size refrigerator, stove, etc. The only issue was a noisy group of guests that were allowed to party near a fire pit until 4 am without hotel staff intervening. I am assured that will never happen again so I will happily book here again on my next stay. Really, very nice staff and management running this hotel.

Convenient to U of Missouri and mall-good value

Posted Feb 21, 2015 on Hotels
My son and I were on a college visit to the University of Missouri and I am really glad I chose this motel. It is conveniently located right off the highway and not far from Mizzou and the mall areas. Breakfast offerings were very good and staff was very welcoming. Downside was closeness to hospital-heard ambulances at night. Will stay here again if return to Columbia

Like having a little apartment

Posted Feb 13, 2015 on Hotels
We stayed as a family in a suite that had an impressive kitchen with everything we needed to prepare a meal for the evening. We also rented a movie from the lobby and had a movie night. Breakfast in the morning was filling and my husband and the kids were able to swim while I worked out in the fitness room. It was a great home away from home hotel!
