Good choice

Posted Feb 24, 2017
Pros: GREAT breakfasts - not the typical buffet thing but a real sit-down, order off the menu breakfast. Terrific. Beautiful setting.
Cons: Keep on top of the dog poop all over the grounds
Room was clean and was a great set-up with a dog. The room had a sliding door to the outside - made life easy. HOWEVER, there was a lot of dog poop on the lawns, walkways etc. It is unfortunate that people don't pick up after their dogs but the hotel needs to keep on top of this.

Awesome hot tub for achey muscles. Accommodated our pup. Room was large. Bed was a little soft. Great stay!

Just another inn

Posted Jan 17, 2017
Pros: The view from the room. The discounted ski tickets.
Cons: All of the complaints listed above.
Location: Downtown Hood River has some great eating establishments and fun shops to browse. The WAAAM museum is a must-see if you like old planes and cars.
Breakfast service was extremely slow. Entry-door trim had wall paint on it, bathroom door veneer was peeling, there was no trim at all where new shower tile met door jam--could see underneath. Bedsheets in second room showed signs of prior (large) stain and had a human hair on it. Tacky. Entry doors banged shut at all hours. Paper-thin walls meant being awakened by late-arriving and early-rising neighbors whose voices and footsteps echoed down hallway. It's a shame to pay big bucks for what amounts to an apartment building with maid service.

Close to Mount Hood for skiing.

Posted Dec 26, 2016
Pros: The area where it is located is nice. A lot to do there...
Cons: The breakfast Voucher was a racket. The offerings are limited to only a few breakfast items. Did not care for that offering.
Location: skiing on mount hood

The hotel restaurant was excellent. Great service and really good variety of food. It has a warm ambiance and gorgeous views of the river. The bar area was surprisingly busy on a Wednesday night!

Pros: Great location on the water.
Cons: Parking was a little limited but not bad.
Location: We went to the Mt. Hood Railroad station and it was very close to the hotel. Downtown was very close and convenient. Close to shops and dining.
Check-in was a breeze, the room was spacious and clean. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodated us well.
