Lovely B&B, great host; view & noise level varies

Posted Jul 9, 2016 on Hotels
It's a lovely B&B, and the hostess is extremely pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed the homemade breakfasts and round-the-clock coffee, tea, and cookies. Our room was small, and the single window overlooked the parking lot and neighbor's house (no river or mountain view). The house fronts onto the main thoroughfare into town, and we could hear the traffic all night long. I imagine if you get a room that looks out the back onto the river, it would be a completely different experience. Given the limitations of our room, the rate seemed a bit high.

Weekend getaway.

A quiet weekend get away in an elegant craftsman home in Hood River was just what we needed. The breakfast was delicious and the company of our hostess and the other guests was delight full. It was our 2nd stay there and has become our favorite place to stay.

Wonderfully clean, great hostess

This bed and breakfast was wonderful. The rooms are all newly redone in this historic home. Bathrooms are wonderful, breakfast was fabulous and we couldn't have been welcomed more graciously. We would always stay here in Hood River when we return.

Villa Columbia Bed & Breakfast, suprising comfort and attention

Posted Dec 20, 2009
Having looked for a place in River Hood for my 4 days stay to go skiing on Mount Hood Meadows, I found this B&B via Expedia. It was not real low price, but it would match my criteria for being in the center of the village (restaurants on a walking distance) and having a parking lot to put my rental car. Having arrived I encountered this villa with a high level of fine decoration and furniture, a bedroom with a very comfortable bed, a simple but effective jacuzzi bath (for the after ski muscle relief;) and an amount of towels, soaps, etc. Good internet. The hostess served a wonderful fresh fruit breakfast in the morning (and all other kinds of breakfast types as you might expect) with a beautiful river view, and supplied even a great sandwich for the road, with fruit and energy bar. This was all more than I expected, and giving a full scale 5 points on every item may not look like an independent review, but this kind of stay was the best I can imagine.
