OK for one night only

OK location and friendly staff. Seems like it used to be a smoking hotel as every area smelled like air freshener.

Economic Hotel

Posted Aug 23, 2015
Cons: Fix ice machine.
Location: German Village restaurants in the area. C-Bus stopped just across the street.
Adequate facility Ice machine did not work on my floor which required me to go to 4th floor. No evidence of any repairs or replacement being done.

Cons: The only thing that I didn't like is the fact I could not get a receipt at the time of check, because I booked the hotel through Expedia.
Great hotel, awesome staff. The rooms were very clean. Close to Downtown Columbus.

Bed and shower only

Posted Aug 4, 2015
Front desk Staff was unfriendly the point of rudeness. Never seen a front desk person as unfriendly as this one. Room was dark and dingy. Carpet was not well vaccuumed and filthy in the corners. The lighting was terrible. Low wattage bulbs and no overhead lights. So dark as to be difficult to function. We stayed one night only as a stopover on our trip. Would not have stayed another night. Oh and bathroom light fixture cover fell off at night making a loud noise which scared us. When reported, there was barely an apology from rude front desk person.

Pros: The staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly.
Location: I enjoyed walking to the German Village. The free "C-bus" was a great way to get around the city.
The hotel was conveniently located and had plenty of parking. The gentleman at the front desk gave me a local map and patiently showed me where my conference was being held the next day. He also gave me several good suggestions about getting around the city.

The room was comfortable and very clean. I must say that the hotel staff were not exceptionally friendly but they did adequately satisfy any requests that I made. This is a good, solid hotel that charges a reasonable rate.

Very nice stay.

Very courteous staff, nice breakfast, comfortable bed. The only negative thing---there was saw dust next to the bed---possibly from maintenance working on bed frame? More vaccumning needed.

Not bad but still needs some work

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Comfortable and clean.
Cons: Replace old doors and brighten up the interior all around.
We stopped off at Columbus for one night. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The location is not the greatest. The room was rather dim and drab. Old metal doors into the hallway and the bathroom are pretty dinged up. There is also a locked door leading to the next room, which I find a little weird. Also some trouble with the TV remote not working (you apparently have to contact the desk to have them set up the remote for you - why?). Breakfast was good. The staff was friendly and helpful.

clean friendly staff and a GREAT breakfast

Pros: Staff are great. Easy on & off Rt. I-70 Reasonable rate. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: Orange juice is not good.Could not get Comfort Inn points as I didn't mention it until AFTER I checked out.
Location: Just a stopping point between KC and NJ.
Hotel is quiet & close to everything. Very easy to get back on I-70 and on our way. I would stay again.

Road Trip

Posted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: Price relative to location and quality
Cons: New carpeting. Refresh the wallpaper and paint. Little outdated. But that is okay because I didn't want to pay for any "frills"
Location: Location was good. Really, anything in Columbus would work because it is such a small city and easy to get around
Travel thru Kentucky and Ohio to visit sites. Baseball game, distilleries, museums, bourbon trail.
