Everything was wonderful from check in to check out. A standard hotel room, very comfortable. Easy access yo the German Village neighborhood which is lovely. An affordable alternative to the Conference Center hotels which allowed me to get a better feel for the city. The buses are a little infrequent by NYC standards so you need to time it right to take advantage of them. But there are plenty of Lyft cars around and those electric scooters if that will work for you.

The staff was superb; our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast area was small but clean and not overcrowded. Parking is a problem. It is a downtown area so security is concerning.

The hotel smelled like skunk weed near the elevators and in the hallways to the rooms. The first room we went into didn’t have all of the lamp shades and the ones that were there had stains. We also felt unsafe bc of the time it took for the doors to close to the room. The front desk was very helpful and moved us to a new room. The new room was cleaner. The iron in the new room didn’t work but housekeeping immediately brought an alternate working one up to our room which was much appreciated. The shower had decent water pressure but the water temperature was only lukewarm. The location of the hotel was good and located near many eating options and German district.

The hotel was pretty clean and the continental breakfast was good. However, when we made a reservation we checked that will pay at property. On the way down to the hotel I checked my bank account and saw that they put a hold on $800 on my account. We intended to pay with a different credit card and my mother-in-law was on the other room but they hit my card for a hold that won’t come off for a week to a week and a half. I have never had this done before and I probably will never stay here again for doing it. We also had issues where we ran out of hand soap after the first day and asked to have it replenished. Our room was cleaned and they never replenished the hand soap. We also never got washcloths so we had to use our hands or hand towels.

We walked into the lobby to check in and it smelled like sewer. The first room they put us in smelled like and old ash tray and the they put us in a different room that wasn’t as bad but the bathroom faucet leaked and water was all over the counter. We had to put a towel around it. For the amount money spent to stay here we should have left but it was a non refundable purchase. Save your money and go somewhere else!

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The doors are all key-card access including the elevator, so the building feels pretty secure. There is a really great restaurant "Cobra" next door. My only complaint is that my hotel door key cards needed to be re-keyed a few times.

carpet had stains, a fray and was not vacuumed well. sink faucet was so hard and stiff I thought I would break it by turning it on and from side to side (hot and cold). Closet door was off the track (I put it back on). Remodeling in bathroom was not done well. Sheet rock was not finished before painting below mirror. Old toilet roll holder was left in wall.

Our room smelled like someone was constantly smoking in it. The elevator door would not pause, it banged into us every time we had to haul luggage. There was no response from staff when we brought these issues to their attention.

Upon arrival, the interior walls of the lobby and hallways were dingy and cracked and didn’t leave a good first impression. The room and beds were fairly clean, lots of storage and space for your luggage, extremely comfortable beds. The bathroom looked like it hadn’t had a thorough cleaning or inspection in a few months - spots of mold on the ceiling, brown spots inside the tub and on the walls. Breakfast was delicious, there was plenty to choose from.

Hotel overbooked
Booked the hotel a few days in advance just to find out when we arrived at almost midnight that they overbooked the hotel. Had to drive over two hours back home since they couldn’t accommodate. Employee refused to contact management to help resolve the situation.

It was easy to find, convenient parking; Veronica was very hospitable at the front desk. I was so pleased I joined the Rewards Program! I will stay here each time I come to Columbus, OH. Breakfast was delicious; it’s a full breakfast too, not just continental. Great way to start your day!

The hotel was conveniently located near Greater Columbus Convention Center where my convention was located at. It was a straight ride on High St. which was great. My room was okay, the bathroom sink drain didn't drain well at all, but housekeeping did a great job of cleaning my room everyday.
