Can't get much closer to the ShoePosted Oct 26, 2015
Pros: Proximity to event, staff very helpful
Book hotel for Ohio State 4 Miler since was .3 miles from start line. Hotel was very nice & extremely close to stadium. Were able to walk just about anywhere wanted to go. Got a late checkout (1pm) which was needed due to the size of race. Only negative was, where our room was located, even with the drapes closed, had residual light from parking garage in our room. Would definitely stay there again.

We were there for a concert at SchottensteinPosted Oct 16, 2015
We could look out of our window and see the horseshoe and also the Schottenstein Center. That was wonderful to know they were both close by. We also love how comfortable the beds were and they had actual glassware so we could use for our drinks instead of plastic cups.

Nice and on campusPosted Oct 15, 2015
Great location if you want to be near/in OSU! Having a fridge was very helpful. Note that you will have to pay for parking ($18/overnight).

Not just for game dayPosted Oct 7, 2015
Pros: The gym was a cut above the usual hotel gym. I'd recommend setting aside some time for a real workout.
Location: I didn't try the restaurant in the hotel, but there's a Panera Bread up the street and a bit of a walk to authentic Chinese, Joy's Village.
Sure, the proximity to the stadium must be a big selling point for some, but I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there, even when there was no game involved. A nice facility, a very nice staff (mostly college kids doing their darnedest....which was a bit of a surprise).

Great place to stay!Posted Oct 2, 2015
Pros: The staff, the speedy valet service, the in-room food, and the plentiful amenities. Plus it is centrally located on the Ohio State campus.
Cons: I think if they invested in some pillow top or foam mattress pads the hotel would be darn near perfect!
Location: On the Ohio State campus! Need I say more?
I stayed there to participate in a career fair at Ohio State University. The hotel is centrally located on campus which was very convenient. The room amenities were plentiful and included a Keurig coffee maker. The staff was exceptionally pleasant, the in-room dinner I ordered was delicious, and the valet staff had my car ready within 5 minutes each time I sent the text message for them to retrieve it. My only gripe would be that the bed could have been a bit more comfortable. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't great.

Comfortable property with great on campus locationPosted Sep 9, 2015
Location: Close to the Short North that offers many entertainment and dining options.
Overall a very nice property with very attentive staff. Great location for events near or on the OSU campus. The purpose of the visit was for medical attention at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and proximity of this property to the facility makes it the hands down choice for convenience. 4 star rating not so much on plushness of the property but certainly for the level of service and attentiveness.Staff equals that in its purpose to extend a level of service experienced in 5 star properties. The personalized evening visit of offering chocolates or bringing ice to the room was impressive especially considering we were in a run of the house room. Its still a First Class hotel but guest should confuse the star rating and expect Superior First Class, Deluxe or Superior Deluxe accommodations however it is certainly on par or better with other competing properties in town such as the Crown Plaza or Hyatt and arguably a better overall value. Should be on your short list if have morning appointments on campus. Columbus rush hour traffic is on par with any metro area and the time saved not sitting in traffic or navigating the constant road construction in and around Columbus cannot be discounted.

Nestled in the heart of the Ohio State campus is The amazing Blackwell hotel. The staff was polite and extremely helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. We will be staying again!
