A quiet little haven

Posted Sep 2, 2017
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
I spent a couple of nights at Yew Tree Farm and it was really lovely. Staying on a working farm was delightful and just taking the time to stand and watch the various animals was delightful. The farm is close to National Trust properties Little Moreton Hall and Biddulph Grange Garden. The walks in the area are delightful too. For an "away from it all" stay I can't recommend it enough.

Great farmhouse location

Posted Sep 1, 2016 on Hotels
We had a planned hike in part of the Peak District, which did do. There are also several walks directly from the farmhouse. The owners, Shiela and Malcolm are exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The view from our room was across the farm and just took in the nearby church. This is an older building on a working farm, with all the animals you would expect to see, so may not be for you. For us, it was great. The opposite of some of the soulless hotels we've stayed in. The bed and room were very comfortable. The only down side was that we only had one night booked.

Very cosy stay on a beautiful farm

Posted May 31, 2016
This farm B&B is set in the beautiful countryside of Cheshire – as you drive in you are surrounded by cows, sheep, and goats. We had a spacious double room with an en suite on the first floor of the family home. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided – as well as some delicious homemade brownies baked by our host Sheila. There was a good selection for breakfast – we had fruit and yoghurt followed by a full english then toast with homemade preserves. We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.
