“It's a decent place to stay. The staff is great. Just aging and so many little details in poor condition. And now this isn't the hotels fault per say but very noisy. Walls were paper thin and could hear other rooms talking and TV playing. Heater was on in my bathroom and the knob was broken so couldn't turn it off.”
“There was a lot of messages to read and i found the automated "virtual" check in and check out a bit clunky and unintuitive. I had to phone recepgion for help with both processes.
I prechecked in and wojld have benefitted from a confirmation stating my key would be waiting.

“Lovely hotel with great amenities and lovely grounds. Room was great and a very generous breakfast served each day. The restaurant was a bit pricey however, food is delicious with good portions. Staff all very helpful. Will stay here again.”
“The castle alone was really nice. They were doing renovations so the dinning area was closed. Only the dungeon Bar was open. I was a little disappointed with that and planned a nice evening dinning. The library bar was closed at night due to under staff. Which again I could of stayed in the dungeon bar but the library would of been a nice evening event. Overall, I would recommend people to stay there. They stated the other areas in the castle should be open soon. We went for a couple of walks……
“The staff were so lovely and accommodating! Our room was luxurious and we had a lovely view of the river. They even put a happy birthday dessert plate in the room for my husband- very kind! I do want to say that the leisure/pool center was quite a disappointment. It is very outdated and so dirty that I didn't even end up putting my suit on to use the facilities.
