Stinky and Moldy

I usually don't spend a lot on a hotel when traveling but this time was different. I spent the extra money expecting a cleaner and nicer hotel. One thing I did not see in the reviews is the smell of this place. My face instantly clogged up from the smell of mold/mildew in the hotel. I stayed on the second floor and even asked to switch rooms- thinking that would help. (Note: The first floor smelt a little better... I should have moved downstairs) I moved to a room that smelled worse and I was too embarrassed to tell them that It wasn't the room but apparently the whole floor. So this is a warning, friendly service but don't waste your money here. I can assure you, you will consider leaving and finding a new hotel room, like I did. I sprayed the room with my perfume and even wiped the walls with a wash cloth and soap just to mask the smell. I will never stay at a La Quinta ever again and rest assured I will warn as many people as I can about this hotel chain. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU CAN'T SMELL.
Go to ANY other hotel.
