Nice hotel on the lake

Quick check-in led to a excellent weekend. Golf course was great.

They checked us into the room and it wasn't clean.

Pros: It was scenic, had lots to do, and the fireworks show was nice.
Cons: I would like to have been informed that you could not see the fireworks from your room when checking in and breakfast ended at 10 am.
Location: I have been to the area before and love Sam Houston Park and the Marina! If you have the opportunity to go out on the water it's a great lake :)
I would not call this a resort, overall the experience was not worth the price paid. They had a large wedding going on and evidently the systems went down when checking in. No one with authority addressed or apologized for the poor service when our room was not clean. I was informed by the cleaning crew that the hotel and the cleaning services were separate companies. I am in my mid thirties and was passed over for service at the pool cabana, did not once have a cabana attendant approach for services at all, and had to ask 3 times for water at breakfast. I am not the type to complain or return items in general but do not want others to have the same experience. I am local to the area and thankful that I only had booked one evening at the hotel. I will be sure to advise others not to stay or bring business to this facility unless management changes.

The hotel was nice. The room was bigger than expected. The kids had a great time at the aqua park. Overall, we were very happy with our experience.

Just okay...

For the most part stay was good. Sushi restaurant excellent. Very slow poolside service making it almost useless. Broken fence and weeds in pool area landscaping. Probably better for kids than a couple. Paddle board rental was fun.

Disappointed

Cons: Have management go floor by floor and have repairs done.
Check in was good, the resort facilities were closed early so when we arrived our options were limited. The carpets in the hallways were in disrepair and were worn pulling away from the wall area. It seems that they are not keeping up with repairs, they want to put themselves as a large resort and spa, stayed there before when it was under renovations was disappointed then but thought to give it another try, could not see the benefits of the reno's that they said were done.

One night on Lake Conroe

Check in was fine, top floor room with great view of the west. Flowers were delivered to my room as requested. The only problem was the amount of bugs on the balcony. Hotel staff said it was the season but not quite sure that was true. Requested to change rooms to other side of building and had east view. They did come up and clean the balcony, windows and patio furniture and sprayed the bugs for us. Had a good stay all together. The bar was nice, piano player for live music was awesome, played anything requested. Had a good meal at the restaurant and overall enjoyed ourselves. Not sure it was really worth what we paid but was better than anything else in the area.

Nice weekend getaway from Houston

Pros: The room was nice. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: The TV reception is not very good. The TV kept freezing while we were trying to watch a basketball game.
Location: The resort is located less than a one hour drive from our house in Houston so it is a nice getaway when you do not want to drive very far.
Stayed at this hotel for one night over the weekend. We enjoyed our stay with a few exceptions. The lazy river needed to be cleaned out. There was a lot of debride in the lazy river. We ordered room service and were not impressed with being charged 21% gratuity plus a $3 delivery fee. They did not tell us about these fees and so we left a tip not realizing a big tip was already included. The lady who delivered the tray did not speak English which was annoying because we asked her a question and she was not able to answer. They only have a temporary gym set up right now which isn't very nice and was too warm.

Room hot at night

The staff was very friendly but my stay was horrible at night due to the room not cooling down. The staff came in and noticed it was hot and brought a fan but the fan was very loud
