Location: close to the beach, restaurants, bars and attractions
perfect location and excellent service, hotel provide transportation for all attractions a reasonable prize, provide free bike rides towels or seat for the beach supper happy with the selection

Clean and great view of rio! I would stay here again. The only thing is the pool looked like it was falling apart.

American style hotel

I stayed here for two days and from the valet to the front desk and concierge was wonderful

Beware of elevator noise!

Pros: Location and access to taxis - excellent.
Great location but several disappointments. Some of the furnishings clearly cheap and poor quality. Of the 3 breakfasts I had there, 2 were a complete scrum. There was a lot of elevator noise in my room a lot of the time. I thought about changing but looked at the floor plan. I was hearing the service elevators, separate from the guest elevators and it looked like no rooms were too far from a bank of elevators. I was trying this hotel as an alternative to my usual hotel but will probably not use it again.

Nice hotel but..

I paid in advance for breakfast. One day I asked if I could have the breakfast in the room and they brought it. The bill included a full charge for this room service. I told them that if I have to pay full price for that breakfast, they should deduct it from the room. Else, it's like paying two times for the food. Staff didn't help..

Excellent Hotel Close to Beach

Hotel has nice facilities and friendly, caring staff. Rooms have exceptional view from the beach and this is one of the best areas to stay in Rio

Lovely, comfortable hotel, located close to the beach and a short walk from the metro. The staff is excellent; many speak multiple languages, which is helpful for their many international guests. Elevators are a bit loud, but breakfasts are plentiful and good (a nice bonus).

Deterioration of service under new management.

All in all I like this hotel and have stayed many times but I was shocked at the change that came about when Hilton took over. I note that you now charge a service fee on everything; I was charged the wrong rate on my room when I checked out; there were charges from someone else on my bill; and to cap it all, when I objected and had them correct the bill, there was no apology offered. I am saddened that the hotel I have used perhaps 20 times in the last few years (and that many of my colleagues use) will not be under serious consideration in our future business trips to Rio.
