Good hotel close to the beach

Pros: Mainly the cleanliness and excellent customer service
Cons: To have tea/coffee making facilities in the room
Location: Very well located. Close to shops &.restaurants and within walking distance of Ipanema beach. Hotel runs trips to many of the local places of interest
Very well run hotel. Excellent staff, all very friendly. Cannot fault them. Rooms always very clean. We had a problem with our safe not working, and got an immediate upgrade. Good location, close to Cocacabana beach.Would certainly recommend.

Location: good location
swimming pool is very little to swim, but it is ideal for children.

Great stay

Hotel is extremely clean and very well located, just minutes from Copacabana beach. The only slight issue was the wifi, which could be slow at times. Staff were excellent.

Great hotel with with great staff. From the restaurant waiter , room service ladies, door guys, to the managers. Very, very satisfied.. thank you all

Great location one block from the beach

Pros: The location as it was only a block away from Copocabana beach and nearby streets had good restaurants, bars and shops.
Cons: Some of the rooms probably need to be updated even though our room had a feeling of comfort, as did the lobby and dining room.
Location: We walked the length of Copacabana beach. Saw Christ the Redeemer statue, Sugarloaf Mountain, a favela,Tujica National Park - tours from the hotel.
Our Windsor Palace hotel room was a little dated but clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was adequate with fresh fruits, breads and spreads plus a couple of hot dishes. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful, patient and polite, especially Mariana, who helped sort out transport from the airport, organised an early check in as we arrived extremely early in the day, and booked restaurants and tours for us.

Convenient hotel with a friendly, helpful staff

A nice, clean, hotel in a good location. Just one block from Copacabana Beach. They furnish beach towels and umbrellas at no extra charge. Also have two computers available at a small charge for time used. The rooftop deck has a small but very nice pool, and a fantastic view of the ocean and beach, as well as the mountains. They also have a bar there. Excellent breakfast buffet, which I enjoyed every morning. Full service restaurant for the other meals. Friendly staff, most of whom speak English, and want to please their guests. I would stay there again if I return to Rio.

Convenient, Clean and Secure for Carnival

Close to the beach but also providing a haven of security after the mayhem of Carnival. When you've caught someone with his hand in your pocket on the street and had your shorts and camera stolen on the beach it is nice to have somewhere secure to retreat to for a few moments peace. Downsides, the doors on our floor (4th) were sticking so when you get in late you wake the whole floor just getting into your room and on our last day one of the two lifts was out of order leading to long waits. A 4 star hotel of 18 floors needs three lifts really but they can't just put another one in.

BEWARE!! NO VISITORS ALLOWED NOT EVEN TO THE POOL!

Awful Hotel as no visitors allowed. I had friends in Rio that wanted to hang out with by the pool area but NO VISITORS ALLOWED. Neither Hotels.com or Hotel website do not disclose that!! If I was aware of that then I would have booked somewhere else. My friends stayed at Americas Copacabana Hotel and it was a magnificent hotel with rules and property overall.

We really have rules to not accept people from outside in guests rooms or at the swimming pool area. For both reasons: Security and to preserve our guests space inside our hotel. NO VISITORS ALLOWED!!!! BEWARE!!!

BEWARE!!! NO VISITORS ALLOWED!! I was planning on enjoying a good vacation with friends and family that lives in Rio in the hotel swimming pool area and they did not let me welcome them in the hotel because NO VISITORS ALLOWED POLICY! This was not fair as the hotel does not disclose that in the Hotel.com page!!! At the end the customer losses as no refund policy is enforced as well!!!

Great hotel for copacabana beach

Good location. Staff spoke English and very helpful booking excursions. Breakfast was very good and the roof top patio and pool was great!
