Disappointing 4 star hotel

Posted Feb 19, 2017
This is now what I would call a 4 star hotel. Let's see the positive and negative aspects: Positive: - staff, especially Rose - the lobby, is cute with a scandinavian decor - the restaurant, the food is yummy, they serve great salads Negative: - overall, far from what you would expect from a 4 star hotel - rooms are tiny, a bit dates, heavy look - same as for the toilet, with a powerless hair dryer - they had issues with hot water!! It was right in the middle of winter, probably some of the coldest days in Copenhagen. I complained once and they fixed and next day we had the same issue. They apologised only when I called (for tbe second time)to ask what was happening and they reluctantly decided to offer the wine and water we had from the minibar. This whole situation was completey unacceptable for me

Dear Guest First of all, thank you for finding time to make a rewiew of your stay and your kind words about our staff in the hotel. I am sorry that your stay did not exeed your expectations. The renovation of the hotel is undergoing, we have currently closed down 65 rooms, and we expect them to be finished at the end of April, with a brand new restaurant as well. The hot water problems can be related to the construction, they do shut down the hot water sometimes, I am sorry that have affected your stay. I will like to tell you that we have different room categories, and the sizes of the rooms are depending on the category. We appriciate your feedback.

Excellent location

Posted Feb 17, 2017
Pros: Staff were very helpful, good breakfast.
Cons: Hotel is being upgraded, i'll wait and see what they do next
Location: Good centre for touring, close to Nyhavns canal and many restaurants. Boat trips, sightseeing
Centrally located, one street away road away Nyhavns canal and within reasonable walking disance of many 'tourist sights'. I enjoyed Copenhagen.

City centre

Posted Feb 9, 2017
Pros: Definitely location
Cons: Tea making
Location: Close to almost everything
This hotel was in the city centre and you wouldn't have known as there was hardly any noise, our room looked out onto a brick wall but for what we paid out of season that didn't bother us at all.we would have given it a 5/5 if there was a bath not just a shower(I never use a bath so shower was more than plenty for me)as the wife likes a soak. There were no tea making facilities in the room which for us was a MAJOR downside as hot water had to be gotten from the reception but was not available between certain times. I would only stay here again if there was as we enjoy a cuppa when we wake up,not having to get dressed go to reception and return with tepid water.

Dear Andrew I will like to thank you taking the time to make a rewiew of your stay with us. And for giving us a great one. I will like you to know that we do have rooms with bathtubs, you can request one, and we will do our best to grand it. The reception is always available to contact 24/7. Regarding the tea making facilities, it has been decided that when the renovation of the hotel is completed, there will be a kettle with coffee and tea facilities in our superior rooms and above. We hope that we can be able to welcome you back to our hotel.

Good central position

Posted Feb 6, 2017
Pros: Central position, cosy public areas, comfortable beds.
Cons: Shelf in the shower, tea and coffee facilities in bedrooms.
Location: Close to Nyhavn harbour, good range of bars and restaurants, interesting shops close by, close to Metro, easy journey to airport.
Lovely central hotel with quirky features. Quiet position and only 5 minutes from the metro with a frequent direct line to the airport. Close to Nyhavn with a good range of bars and restaurants. Room was small but with plenty of room for clothes, bathroom again small but well fitted. Satisfactory breakfast and plenty of it. After reading reviews we took a travel kettle, mugs and tea bags so that we could have hot drinks whenever we wanted - Copenhagen is pricey! I particularly liked the cosy public areas with an open fire and candles which were lit all day - lots of corners to curl up with a book.

Great location and staff

Posted Jan 29, 2017
Pros: Location, price and specially staff.
Cons: Bathroom ceilings...granted it's an old hotel and very clean, but the ceiling tiles could be updated.
Location: Just a block away from the very touristic canal with shops and many historical, amazing buildings.
We arrived at midnight and while this is a small hotel and there were no food services, the staff made an online order for us from a couple of restaurant choices (it was great). Rooms are quite small, but for the location and price seems about right. Nice breakfast.

Nice hotel in a great location.

Posted Jan 13, 2017
We stayed at this hotel for a long weekend in January. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel was nicely decorated with a Scandinavian feel. The room was clean, small (typical for a european city hotel room), and a decent size bathroom. The breakfast was very good and fulfilling. The hotel was in a great location and close to alot of restaurants and sites. It was about a 20 minute walk to the train. It was overrall a great place to stay while visiting Copenhagen.

Perfect location, 4* hotel

Posted Dec 24, 2016
2nd time here, chose this over the Radisson because I knew how good it was. Location is perfect too - right on the edge of Indre By and one street behind Nyhavn with its harbour side bars and restaurants. Great that a new foot bridge has opened right by the hotel too which takes you over the river to Christiania, Noma and Papirøen (street food) - the latter is a must. Didn't take breakfast as so many good bakeries nearby, such as Myers in the nearby Kongens Nytorv metro stop, which is on the same line as the airport so the journey was a breeze with luggage. Will be back and have recommended to friends already.

Beautiful hotel, one street over from Nyhavn.

Posted Dec 14, 2016
Pros: We really enjoyed how cozy the hotel felt in those rainy, dark days of November.
Cons: There was no heating system in our bathroom. It was very cold, letting the cold air into our room. The bed mattrace was way too soft to be comfortable
Location: Great location, one street over from nice bars and restaurant in Nyhavn. Walking distance to the Papier food building.
Me and my husband stayed in the hotel for 5 nights. The hotel is beautiful and very cozy. One can have a glass of wine or beer at the reception, sitting by the fireplace. Very good breakfast. Decently big room.
