great location

Posted Mar 1, 2017
Pros: great Location
we were here on business for a few days and had planed to meet people at the hotel, so we were a little disappointed that refurbishment work was being done and they had said anything about that at the time of our booking. that said the hotel was very good and the staff were excellent, we just would have liked to have know this work was being carried out first.

Good location

Posted Feb 27, 2017
Pros: Good location, stylish in public areas. Helpful staff.
Cons: Varying size of rooms at same rate.
Location: Nyhavn, inner city shopping and sites all close.
Check in was easy, booked two small doubles but they varied greatly in size, with one being more generous. Not keen on window looking out to the internal courtyard as felt there was a lack of fresh air. Would stay again but ask for an outside room. Hotel undergoing renovation, sure it will be even nicer when done.

Comfortable and very close to the centre.

Posted Feb 26, 2017
Pros: The hotel entrance/ lobby area was very warm and inviting. The beds were very comfortable and the room cosy.
Cons: An improved range of toiletries which should be replaced once used. The heating needs to be looked at - it was too hot and the radiators were not on.
Location: Very central to the centre and the metro. The hotel was the only one in our street, which was very quiet and pretty. 2 minutes walk to Nyhavn
The hotel is in an excellent position, very close to the metro and only 2 minutes walk from Nyhavn. We opted to have a larger bedroom, and whilst this was large enough, the bathroom was tiny. Getting in and out of the shower was difficult as the shower door could only be partially opened as it hit the cistern of the toilet and couldn't move any further. Our bedroom was too hot - we had all the bedroom windows open all the time, but as we overlooked the internal courtyard there was no fresh air. The beds were very comfortable, but the toiletries provided were minimal and very disappointing for a boutique hotel. If I stayed at the hotel again I would bring lots more of my own toiletries. The breakfast was satisfactory, but as there is a lot of building work taking place to upgrade the hotel, the restaurant was closed and we sat elsewhere, and this may have affected the range of food served. Although the building work didn't obviously affect us, I do think there should have been mention of this when booking the hotel.

The perfect hotel for a family in Copenhagen

Posted Feb 25, 2017
Pros: The hotel was beautifully decorated throughout.
Cons: No
Location: This is the perfect hotel to visit the city and it took us exactly 30 minutes to get to it by metro from the airport.
We stayed for 2 nights with our two children aged 14 and 18. The Suite was very spacious and had 2 rooms and one bathroom. The hotel was very comfortable and spotless. The staff was very helpful . The breakfast was excellent too.

Disappointing 4 star hotel

Posted Feb 19, 2017
This is now what I would call a 4 star hotel. Let's see the positive and negative aspects: Positive: - staff, especially Rose - the lobby, is cute with a scandinavian decor - the restaurant, the food is yummy, they serve great salads Negative: - overall, far from what you would expect from a 4 star hotel - rooms are tiny, a bit dates, heavy look - same as for the toilet, with a powerless hair dryer - they had issues with hot water!! It was right in the middle of winter, probably some of the coldest days in Copenhagen. I complained once and they fixed and next day we had the same issue. They apologised only when I called (for tbe second time)to ask what was happening and they reluctantly decided to offer the wine and water we had from the minibar. This whole situation was completey unacceptable for me

Dear Guest First of all, thank you for finding time to make a rewiew of your stay and your kind words about our staff in the hotel. I am sorry that your stay did not exeed your expectations. The renovation of the hotel is undergoing, we have currently closed down 65 rooms, and we expect them to be finished at the end of April, with a brand new restaurant as well. The hot water problems can be related to the construction, they do shut down the hot water sometimes, I am sorry that have affected your stay. I will like to tell you that we have different room categories, and the sizes of the rooms are depending on the category. We appriciate your feedback.

Excellent location

Posted Feb 17, 2017
Pros: Staff were very helpful, good breakfast.
Cons: Hotel is being upgraded, i'll wait and see what they do next
Location: Good centre for touring, close to Nyhavns canal and many restaurants. Boat trips, sightseeing
Centrally located, one street away road away Nyhavns canal and within reasonable walking disance of many 'tourist sights'. I enjoyed Copenhagen.

City centre

Posted Feb 9, 2017
Pros: Definitely location
Cons: Tea making
Location: Close to almost everything
This hotel was in the city centre and you wouldn't have known as there was hardly any noise, our room looked out onto a brick wall but for what we paid out of season that didn't bother us at all.we would have given it a 5/5 if there was a bath not just a shower(I never use a bath so shower was more than plenty for me)as the wife likes a soak. There were no tea making facilities in the room which for us was a MAJOR downside as hot water had to be gotten from the reception but was not available between certain times. I would only stay here again if there was as we enjoy a cuppa when we wake up,not having to get dressed go to reception and return with tepid water.

Dear Andrew I will like to thank you taking the time to make a rewiew of your stay with us. And for giving us a great one. I will like you to know that we do have rooms with bathtubs, you can request one, and we will do our best to grand it. The reception is always available to contact 24/7. Regarding the tea making facilities, it has been decided that when the renovation of the hotel is completed, there will be a kettle with coffee and tea facilities in our superior rooms and above. We hope that we can be able to welcome you back to our hotel.

Good central position

Posted Feb 6, 2017
Pros: Central position, cosy public areas, comfortable beds.
Cons: Shelf in the shower, tea and coffee facilities in bedrooms.
Location: Close to Nyhavn harbour, good range of bars and restaurants, interesting shops close by, close to Metro, easy journey to airport.
Lovely central hotel with quirky features. Quiet position and only 5 minutes from the metro with a frequent direct line to the airport. Close to Nyhavn with a good range of bars and restaurants. Room was small but with plenty of room for clothes, bathroom again small but well fitted. Satisfactory breakfast and plenty of it. After reading reviews we took a travel kettle, mugs and tea bags so that we could have hot drinks whenever we wanted - Copenhagen is pricey! I particularly liked the cosy public areas with an open fire and candles which were lit all day - lots of corners to curl up with a book.
