Elegant and stately

Posted Aug 25, 2015
The location was convenient to the metro, as well as numerous sites and destinations in Copenhagen. The room was clean, and nicely appointed, but there was too much furniture; it was very cramped. There were 2 broken hangers, and the fridge door was askew. Minor things, yes, but on top of the fact that the hot water also only lasted for about 6 minutes, and the wireless was unreliable, it certainly didn't paint a 4-star picture. Very polite and helpful front desk staff, however.

Decent hotel, nothing special. Good location. Likes to look fancier than it actually is.

Highly recommended

Posted Aug 20, 2015
Though I only stay there for one night, I definitely will recommend this hotel to friends and will stay again if I am back to Copenhagen. Nice hotel staff that let me check in even I reached at 8.30am, very nice gesture as I was tired from long haul flight. Had booked a single room, no air con though, open the window and it was very windy even in summer. Very wide selection of breakfast. Value for money overall. Thank you all at Phoenix Copenhagen.

Nice location, BUT...

Posted Aug 19, 2015
Pros: Location. Staff was great. Breakfast food and bar food (lunch) was very tasty.
Cons: Truth in advertising regarding room and bed sizes.
Location: Great location. Central to the sites of the old city, great shopping nearby and many very good restaurants.
An older hotel very near many of the well known sites. The challenge was when we arrived, we were shown to our "queen" room only to find the bed was actually a double in a very small room. No real storage and not much room to move around. We tried to move to a larger room, but it was high season and they didn't have anything else. The staff was very nice, but that didn't fix the problem. The only thing I can say is Buyer Beware. When choosing a bed size, especially in Europe, take the bed sizes they show on their sites and take your tape measure to see if it will be acceptable.

zentral gelegenes Hotel

Posted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: traditionelle gediegene Einrichtung

Perfect Hotel location

Posted Aug 16, 2015
The hotel is an utterly perfect location in the centre of Copenhagen. It was a 10min walk from the metro and a perfect location to all of the sites around town. Staff were very friendly and helpful, this hotel has charm and is not a faceless chain hotel - yes the bathroom sink had a crack in it and the bath has two chips in it - BUT did it effect my stay at the hotel - NO. The hotel may need some updates here and there but it has character and charm that would be lost - the only thing missing in the room was a safe and coffee/tea making facilities. can highly recommend and will definitely be back to stay here again and again as Copenhagen is a great city with so much to offer

Wirklich mittendrin!

Posted Aug 9, 2015
Location: Nyhavn, House of Amber, Amalienborg Slot, Amaliehaven, Designmuseum Danmark, Marmorkirken, Magasin du Nord, Rosenborg Slot, u. v. m.

Beautiful, huge, clean with a few weird things

Posted Aug 7, 2015
The staff were amazing, and the building is lovely & old, lots of character; of course this means that the water pressure stinks, so don't expect much of a satisfying shower. Also the wifi continually went down which was irritating. The decor is gorgeous. And the location is great. Right in the thick of it all.
