There is nothing I didn’t like about this hotel my stay here was perfect from start to finish. The staff on reception were so friendly and helpful. The staff at breakfast were also helpful and friendly always smiling. The room was clean and tidy and well equipped. Loved the position of the hotel too right in the centre of everything.

The Star goes to the wonderful location the hotel is in. After that, everything is negative. The hotel tries to fleece your money if you just happen to arrive 1 hour early for an early checkin - they mentioned the room was available, but that would incur almost 30 EURO change if I opted for early checkin. We experienced the same during check out day, my father is disabled, we requested 2 extra hours check out and were advised its 30 EURO per hour. They do offer you to bag tag so you can leave your bag in an unsecure room however upon bag collection, they just let you go in the unsecure room unattended to collect your bags and the bag tag then becomes irrelevant as you could swipe other bags. The breakfast has sloppy eggs, most of the items had been cooked for a while and was not at optimal temperature. They provide breads to cut but no toaster, for that you have to hand your bread to the chef, who takes it and has a hidden toaster, you have to keep hovering around as they don't deliver it back to your table. Poor. The issues I believe arise from the hotel chain. The staff at reception were wonderfully pleasing. It's the ridiculous policies. The room wasn't cleaned to standard also which I want to make note of. We also discovered that you have to book your breakfast slot and cleaning slot 24 hours before. The whole point of a trip away is to be stress free but the policies at this hotel only gives you stress.

Booked for cleaning however there is no cleaning done only the duvet folded to its original and replaced the dirty towels. Hairbody soap is empty. However your staff are polite and friendly. Needs modernisation of the furniture.

The Scandic Palace is a classy old hotel that’s no longer the star of Copenhagen hotels but it’s beautiful and the location is excellent. The breakfast is very filling and has a lot of variety, though don’t expect Danish delicacies like pastries, a wide variety of cheeses or smoked fish. Still, there is plenty for everyone. The eco focus of the hotel is great.

the place is accessible for transports, bar ,restaurant , and point of interest. Throw away from Tivoli Garden . Hotel is old I need to upgrade , though still well kept . All good here , only the room services is a bit of pain. Unless you book a cleaning they will not do it and don't refill the toiletries . otherwise all good

The staff was warm and welcoming, a perfect introduction to the hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room well appointed. The breakfast was exceptional: a plethora of healthy options and traditional Danish breakfast foods. It was fresh, varied, plentiful, beautifully presented, and tasty.

Nice hotel, fantastic location. Very good buffet breakfast - extensive and nice Danish touches. For international travelers it would be nice if the rooms had USB ports.

Lovely big hotel in a convenient location - easy to find and everything is walk distance. Friendly staff and a wide breakfast selection including make your own waffles which was fun! The only downside I would say was the toilet in our bedroom; 1. Because the sliding glass bathroom door didn’t close all the way, so you can see, hear and smell everything that is happening in the bathroom. 2. “Poop shelf” which became a main topic of discussion on our holiday - we learned these old toilets like to display your “creations” to you.. but also don’t flush away on their own so learnt to do the tissue swipe. Apart from that, we had a good stay

This property deservedly gets stellar reviews and yet, eve3ry now and then a negative reveiw appears and, for the life of me, I cannoth imagine why! This is not only a fine hotel it is an elegant architetural masterpiece. I cannot think of a more convenient place to stay.. Our room was spacious and well appointed. Do not think twice about booking a room here. Also the buffet breakfast is outstanding.

Great hotel in convenient location
I had a great stay at the hotel. I arrived at 7:30 am in the morning and was thankful that the room was available for me to check in. The complementary breakfast was great and offered enough options for me. The location of the hotel is great. It is located steps away from the metro stop Rådhuspladsen. There are several eateries located nearby. Other highlights include having Tivoli across the street and easy walking distance to some of the palaces.

The hotel feels dated. Our room was spacious but not clean. The couch in our room had blonde hairs and white marks and we later also found strains of hair on our bed. The shower water leaks all over the bathroom and onto the main room. The bathroom sink is the smallest sink I have ever seen in my life. The walls are not soundproof at all, we could hear our neighbours closing the toilet lid (they are not the soft close ones, so the lid bangs down on the toilet bowl), toilet flush noises and also noises from the streets outside. The breakfast gets very crowded, so you need to be early, or else you will be waiting in the queue to get in. The only good thing is the location and that the bed is comfy (not too soft like other hotels).

I had seen the reviews but still opted to stay at this hotel because it ranked high in two categories I value most--breakfast quality and location. It was fine for both, as expected. The owners clearly haven’t reinvested profits in upkeep or modernizing, so this property definitely has its challenges.

The location was great. We could walk to the Christmas markets and Tivoli Gardens was right across the street. The subway was right on the corner so that was great. The breakfast was delicious. Many choices. The staff were very nice and friendly.

The location is convenient to the metro and central train station. Would recommend a room not facing the street if light sleeper but the church bells still ring from 0800-0000 every quarter. The breakfast is hearty with lots of options. Would stay again if back in Copenhagen.
